We had reserved the pub to hold a surprise birthday for my guy's 50th. They went out of their way to make sure it was a success, even grabbing coldcut trays for us to put out. Everyone was friendly and noone waited for their drinks. A warm, fun, atmosphere!

Had four bottles of beer and paid as I went. Guy behind the bar got confused and thought I hadn't paid for one of them. I asked him to check with the other bartender as I had definitely paid for all of them. He got an attitude and made it seem like I was trying to con him. I checked... More

Always go here when seeing a show at the Music Hall. Great atmosphere and good selection of beers on tap. Service was prompt and had a great time.

Came here for drinks with a couple of friends and felt at home. The service was very friendly and we were seated right away. The live music was pretty good and the beers are pretty well average for the area. We didn't eat as it was very late but did enjoy the laid back vibe. It's an average bar but... More

Are you looking for a 'Cheers' type local on the Dannie? Then look to The Nick. Great live music, casual fare, friendly characters galore...and that is both staff and patrons! Do yourself a favour and stop in for a bevvie and a bite when in the hood!

It was a very hot Saturday during the taste of the Danforth when we stumbled in here, Lots of real folks here including a few left over hippies whom no one minded and a young arty crowd,

Came here for trivia night (3rd Thursday of every month) with some friends. The wait staff was very friendly and accommodating. Lots of interesting Music artefacts don the place. It has an authentic pub like feel and lots of interesting patrons. They have a wide selection of craft beers on tap.

When I first got to this place, I was greeted & told to sit anywhere. It was empty. I was meeting some friends, so I sat in the back. I ordered food. As I was waiting for my food, I was looking around. They have a T.V. on a shelf, with a Pink Panther stuffed animal beside it, both are... More

Small bar on Danforth Avenue. Straight friendly. Loads of Board games at the back. We spent a happy afternoon sampling beers/cider and playing trivial pursuit. They were due to have the Bingo later. Obviously not everyone's taste but I enjoyed my afternoon here and met the bingo caller on the way out....!!!

Staying in East End

Neighbourhood Profile
East End
The East End is an eclectic amalgamation of areas that team up to make this district one of the most multi-faceted and alluring. Home to Toronto's LGBT community hub, Gay Village is alive and pumping day or night with friendly bars, nightclubs, and cafes – its thumb is on the pulse of excitement. For a more relaxed day, the East End has the largest collection of restored Victorian homes, and its stately streets, tree-lined and bursting at the seams with affluence, often sport farmers markets and street artists, epitomized by the effusive St. Lawrence Market. One of the most gorgeous of Toronto's neighborhoods, it also straddles Lake Ontario in an area called The Beach, where you'll find folks cycling and strolling along the sandy shorelines, getting some sun or enjoying shopping, dining, and pub options. For some fabulous food, the vivacious personalities running the restaurants in the East End's Greektown is only equaled by the fun and authenticity of the street stalls and restaurants at its expansive Indian Bazaar. 'Something for everyone' has never been so accurate.
