We were at this pub for drinks on a Sat evening. The place was packed but we were lucky to find a corner next to the large bar. The bar tender was a very friendly guy full of jokes made us feel welcome with offer for many beer tastings. Service was brilliant and the all beers our party ordered were... More

We entered the restaurant on a walk-in basis and had the chance of getting a table. The athmosphere is nice altough a little bit loud. The beer list is impressive and the food is good.

Usually get the beer flights enabling me sample three different brews. If you like rabbit, the cassoulet is fantastic. Cod cakes app is always great too.

Dropped in with a friend, without a reservation, and even though they were very busy, they happily fit us in. We started with an order of the frites, which arrived piping hot and very tasty. My friend ordered mussels which she really enjoyed and I had the gnocchi which was also delicious. Both were generous servings. Our waiter gets top... More

My girlfriend and I dined at the Beer Bistro for dinner and had an enjoyable experience. Food was well priced and the extensive beer menu was a joy to peruse. Each meal has a recommended beer category if you're interested in food/beer paring. My girlfriend enjoyed this as the category names aren't typical and therefore more accessible (eg. Socialable, Robust).... More

This was my second time at the Beer Bistro. I love the selection of beers and the food was delicious. The restaurant space is a bit small so feels a bit restrictive for private conversation, but definitely a nice place to grab a pint and nibbles after work.

Knowledgable and courteous bartenders and waitstaff with a large selection of beers on tap as well as in bottles and cans. The french fries here are great with every beer they serve and the rest of the food is quite palatable as well, I like their pizza very much. This is a very good downtown watering hole to meet up... Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
