This local restuarant in the Yonge and St.Clair neighbourhood is always busy at lunchtime. A variety of salads, sandwiches and two daily soup specials keep people coming back. The food is very tasty and well worth the price. The cuisine influence is Italian. You won't be disappointed with the three salad choices. Best to pass on the house wine and... More

I've been going here for years! Some of the best food in town! Love the veal sandwiches and the pizza! The staff there are really friendly too!

I just moved into the area and thought I'd check out their sandwiches which are quite good. They look like they serve wine and beer as well, and I hope to sit and enjoy rather than order and dash out one day. A few objections are: 1) They pre-make all sandwiches in the morning so there are no substitutes to... More

I went here for lunch and got the vegetation sandwich, veggie soup, and a hot chocolate. The sandwich and soup were edible, but not much better than Tim Hortons, the hot chocolate I ended up pouring out. Not worth the money.

Boccone is a bustling lunch spot for locals in the Yonge and St.Clair area. There are often line ups out the door at lunchtime so if you are earlier or later than the lunch hour the chances of a seat are better. The choices for sandwiches and salads are numerous and there are daily soup, sandwich and pizza specials. The... More

I have been going to Boccone's frequently since 2007 and the food is usually pretty good and reasonably priced. Today I took lunch on their patio overlooking the cemetery. During my lunch two women and one man started smoking so I mentioned to them that there is no smoking allowed on patios in Ontario any longer. They became violent and... More

I've been going to Boccone for a while now. It has become one of my go to places for a good meal at a good price. One of the dying breed of "Hot Table" lunch spots in Toronto they offer a luck crowd a vast selection of food from salads to traditional italian sandwiches to stews and roasts and of... More

If you have limited time for lunch and like sandwiches and salads this deli is a good choice. You choose your food from a display near the entrance, pay the cashier, and choose your own table in the bright and cheerful dining room. There is also some outdoor seating on small patio at the rear or two tables on busy... More

I had two hours to kill between flight connections at the T.O. airport. I had never heard of Boccone before so I thought "why not!". Prices are a bit steep and the servings are small in comparison to some other restaurants but what else do you expect from an airport setting, not to mention the restaurant owner's background(go check out... Liked; Central location to most gates in my terminal wing. Dislikes; Open cafe concept, and has minimal noise baffling, such as banners, or partitions, from the terminal noise. Brutally slow service, 7 smaller pieces of Ravioli, with some tomato sauce, $16 My colleague had a pizza which was a large piece of flatbread, with not much on it, looked like... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown is a dynamic part of Toronto with some of its most stylish high-rise residences and heritage buildings. The area sees busy shoppers with bag-laden arms balancing lattes in paper cups as they travel from one luxury brand to the next, taking advantage of the proximity of high-end shops. The reflecting pools, jogging trails, and nature treks of the Rosehill Revision are always a hub of outdoor activity, and after a workout from either running or splurging, many take advantage of the spas and massage parlors Midtown has to offer. Away from the bakeries, boutiques, and glamorous old theaters of the district's center, locals use the weekend to embrace the more suburban feel of Midtown's parks, tennis courts, outdoor markets, and the manicured grounds of Casa Loma, while families indulge the area's state-of-the-art playground and learning facilities. Of course, no high-brow district is complete without a healthy counter-culture: Midtown boasts some of the wildest street art and full-wall graffiti of any neighborhood in Toronto.
