We've visited a few times. After the first time we realised that this is a whole meal, not just a dessert so we planned accordingly next time! On our most recent visit we took friends who were visiting from the uk with their 2 kids. We all thoroughly enjoyed our waffles with ice cream - pomme pilot was a strong... More

Best place to go to with children!! Just be prepared for the sugar rush after!!! Great collection of deserts and drinks! Very funny names on the menu! My favorites are the Nutella crepe and the red velvet cake with white chocolate ice cream! ! 😭 ! Try it and you will fall in love again and again!

We fairly often stop here for ice cream or some other dessert, and we have never been disappointed. The location is convenient, and the ambiance is pleasant. I've never eaten a full meal here, but certainly can recommend Cafe Demetre for dessert.

Came here with friends after eating at la vecchia another great restaurant BTW. and i couldn't find something they didn't have for my sweet tooth or as far as drinks from hot to cold. This location is quite large and comfortable. The deserts were heavenly and my latte was great.

Visited on a busy day with fully occupied place, but got my table soon and did not feel rushed. I've been to multiple locations, so experience (non-food related) depends on location and time of visit. They have delicious waffles, must try! If there's a certain component of your order you don't like or are allergic to (e.g. peanuts), you can... More

My last visit to this restaurant, our food tasted bad and they skimped out on the fruits. Also we waited 45 minutes for the server to come back to our table. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant.

All I can say about this place is that it has got wonderful deserts, but I have never been able to order any myself - they are way too big and impossible to finish on your own. Be prepared to share with maybe even two others.

Staying in North End

Neighbourhood Profile
North End
The North End is a nucleus of specialty food restaurants and shops, especially around its Mount Pleasant Village area. Frequented by antiquers for its numerous collectable shops, furniture spots, and oddity stores, the North End is a maverick of the quaint and quality. Vintage toy stores, accessory shops, and cinemas welcome perusers to step back in time, while the wide pedestrian squares and the large medical and business community inject it with a dose of modernity. With numerous cafes and Toronto's greatest number of independent booksellers, it isn't uncommon to see folks in this area at their leisure, reading outdoors and in eateries, and taking life a bit more slowly – even if it's only during their lunch break.
