A tiny little place with blaring music and a bunch of kids running it, the service isn't bad, the place is fairly clean, and the food they churn out id pretty darn good! the portions are large, the fish is cooked perfectly and battered nicely with a thinner but very crispy beer batter, the fries were very good, fresh cut... Fish was not good, chips were awful. There is nothing else on the menu, and my guess is that it would be closed if it were not in such a great location opposite to the park.

I live near where Penrose Fish and Chips used to be and they had very good fish and average chips but Chippy's has great fish and the best chip anywhere! This is a very small place with place for 5 otherwise it's takeout Trinity Bellwoods Park is across the street).

I was taken here by someone who loves it, for some reason. I'm surprised it passed its most recent health inspection. A lot of the equipment looks dirty, there's random stuff lying on the floor and the counter by the window is covered in about and inch of grease. The sleeve of my shirt actually stuck to the counter top!... More

Yes, Chippy's is pricey. Yes, it's strange they charge for tartar sauce, using the debit machine, etc., but this is a trendy neighbourhood in Toronto, so you're going to pay for that. That is no different than any other trendy neighbourhood in any other big city. You just have to decide if it's worth it. Since it's my 'hood, it's... More

Love this place. I've been coming here for years since I started working in the area, and whenever I need a fish and chips hit, this is the place to go. Small set up on Queen Street West, they have your basic choice of fishes, have deliciously fresh cut fries, and your choice of sauces. I recall getting tartar sauce... More

If you just want fish and chips and you're in T.O., don't even bother to entertain going anywhere else except this cool hole in the wall on Queen West, east of Strachan. Music blaring, fresh fish/hand cut potatoes frying, in house sauce dipping, mouths watering in this rockin' place. Not too much batter but enough to be crispy and never... More

Chippy's used to be good years ago. Now the servings of fish are very "small" and greasy. It's too bad they went downhill. Bye-bye, I won't be coming back. The small portion of fish was ridiculous.

I don't get fish and chips often, but when I do, it's from Chippys. On my visit today I saw that there are new menu items, but I still gut my old standby: the halibut! Always perfect, never flawed... I love Chippys.

Went in for fish & chips after a friend suggested it. Fish was crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. Chips were delicious and perfectly seasoned. It was warm enough out to sit in the park! We will be back for sure!
