I've been eating at Paddington's for years and always feel like I'm welcomed into a good friend's kitchen when I arrive. It's a wonderful place to watch the world go by and enjoy the St. Lawrence Market. My favourite part is seeing all the different people enjoying being together in this great place. Couples, families, friends, old, young - everyone... More

Easy, no complaints. Simple country style diner in the middle of the city. Located on the corner of the property with an exterior door. Connected to the rest of the market complex which was neat to walk though.

It is a small restaurant. My boyfriends eggs were under cooked. It took a long time for the waitress to serve us. When it came time to get the bill we waited a long time, we couldn't even see our waitress around anywhere, he finally gave up and went to the cash to pay the bill. We will never go... More

We stopped in here for a quick lunch and were not disappointed. Per our guide's suggestion, we tried the "oink" sandwich. Wow! It was simply outstanding. The counter service was friendly and helpful. If you are in or near the St. Lawrence Market, give these folks a try!

We searched for this restaurant on a visit to the St. Lawrence Market after seeing an advert in a magazine at our hotel as my wife is a great Paddington Bear fan. I had a cooked breakfast with bacon, three eggs, hash browns etc and my wife had the pancakes and both our meals were excellent. Its only a small... More

Not from me it didn't. Clearly bottled, it was paler than mayonnaise and the taste defies description. Disgusting. Home fries were huge and unnecessary with a benedict and looked like roast potatoes. The waitress told me "their" hollandaise gets great reviews. Just apologise, don't tell the customer they're wrong.

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
