Went for a dinner for two and had an amazing time. There's an abundance of very well-made Greek food and a wonderful atmosphere in the restaurant. The waiting staff was super pleasant and we could not finish out plates because there was so much food. Definitely recommend.

My personal favorite in Montreal. As a Greek who has been trying out greek food all over the city got to say that this place is by far my favorite. Usually, I visit this place with friends and more or less we ve tried everything in the menu. Needless to say that we never got disappointed. Recently, they added rib... More

we were a group on 5 and enjoyed seating in their pretty outdoor area..it started raining a little, but they cranked an awning over us so we didn't have to move inside. the service was slow but friendly --they were busy. we all enjoyed the appetizers and entrees...most of us ordered the plates which come with soup and salad, this... Comfortable dining. Very good Greek food. The escargot was well prepared with two choices of sauce. We opted for traditional garlic sauce and were not disappointed. Our meals went from Fried Calamarie ( excellent soft , crispy and hot) to souvlaki which was well seasoned and prepared exactly as we wanted it. Desserts were excellent as well. We found street... 3 friends having lunch on the terrasse. The place was empty. You know why after you pay your bill. We asked to change the green salad for a small Greek salad (village salad). We were not told it will cost an extra 4.95$. The plate came almost empty (see picture of my chicken brochette) although the food was tasty. My... More

Walking on Duluth street, super hungry on a weekend night, we decided to stop to look at the menu. Prices were excellent so we gave it a try. What a great discovery! The food is delicious. The meat is super tender. I'm in love with their lentil soup. The staff is amazing. Been there twice so far, and had a... More

I discovered La Maison Grecque by chance about 5-6 years ago, and after being there at least a dozen times since, I decided it is time to finally write a positive review because this family owned restaurant simply deserves it! It has arguably become my favorite place to eat for many reasons. Not only is the food exquisite (I recommend... More

La Maison Grecque was our regular Friday night Resto when we were first married 35 years ago.....until we moved to suburbia to raise our family. We recently moved back to Montreal & decided to return. It had not changed except for the waiters. Still the same owner, same decor (the terrace has been upgraded) and the same basic good food.... This Greek restaurant is probably the best one I have ever been too. You have to take in your own wine but there is a shop close by with good wines. The atmosphere is great especially out on the patio. The owner made us feel like family and our waiter, Shayne Singh was excellent, entertaining and friendly. This is a place... More

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colourful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
