I was invited to lunch at Bar George (The old Mount Stephen Club) and was pleased to see that the inner ambience has remained relatively unscathed from the renovations. The restaurant was not too busy and we dined in a very pleasant atmosphere. The food...More

The old is celebrated in new ways at Bar George, a modern-day rendezvous set in the grand heritage home once belonging to Sir George Stephen. Honouring the former resident’s roots, our chefs cook up contemporary takes on classic U.K. fare, spiked with Quebecois quirks, while our bar pours time-tested drinks. Situated in downtown Montreal’s Golden Square Mile, Bar George is located inside Le Mount
