Excellent service and historic ambience made this very special. The corn fritters are highly overrated and the steak was good but not great. Still an excellent choice to discover a Montreal institution

Our first visit, we were Americans touring in Montreal, found it online. Servers were most accommodating, pub style food was just right, and the atmosphere was fun. We’d return if in Montréal!

A great location, with lovely ambience and very good service. Food was good but not amazing. Glad we went, if for no other reason than the gin and mint!

i would probably say "No". Obviously entirely up to you but the 2 times we visited it seemed full of business people at lunchtime and an adult crowd in the evening. (Plus there isn't a lot of space). Regards. Kev

Featuring a plethora of interesting 1920s-inspired design details, the Dominion Square Tavern is a cut above your average downtown eatery. Enjoy simple classic fare such as mussels and fries or a pulled pork sandwich in a warm, inviting atmosphere. Top it off with a sinful serving of sticky toffee pudding. Newly reopened, the tavern is already a huge hit with the downtown professional crowd. A full bar, cocktails, wine and beers awaits.
