Honestly one of the best restaurants I've ever been to. Great combo of atmosphere and food. Service was amazing.

Very good food. Funny that the look of their menu does not reflect how good the food is. I almost did not go in because the menu looked like regular cheap restaurant. Don't expect big dishes here (like the menu makes you believe). There is...More

Dropped in for brunch. Service was spectacular, atmosphere was welcoming, food was very good. Cafe lattes tasted like the ones we had in Rome. I wanted something not on the menu and that was no problem: 2 eggs (poached in red wine!) on toast and...More

One never knows what to expect in the heart of a tourist area. Too often food can be overpriced and service poor. Not Bocata. The food was not cheap, but well worth the price. Very generous selection of wines by the glass which were fairly...More

Small intimate restaurant in Old Montreal with eclectic decor in what must be a very old building with exposed walls. Started the evening with interesting cocktails and appetizers. Fresh oysters and mini peppers fried with chorizo sausage bits. Both recommended. The two main courses that...More

Tiny rustic dining room which feels like you are somewhere in France. Small but varied menu. We enjoyed oysters, and squid risotto with lobster. Nice wine and friendly, excellent service.More

We were disappointed in the food. Ambiance was great, but my fish rillettes toast with avocado and poached egg cake with an avocado purée that tasted like what you get in a fast food place, and the egg was a hard-boiled egg, not poached. Those...More

Agreed - nice casual but 'no 'code' ...indeed, it appeared that this 'side' of the two sister restaurants was a litte more casual than the other .
