1. Food: seafood mixed soup was watery and 2 spicy. I tried this soup in Sol y Mar - original Peruvian-and it is not supposed to be spicy, had more fish. It does not say in the menu and when we asked to change it, they returned the same plate for the chef to "fix it". Nothing was done, only... More

It's a little taste of Peru in our own backyard. Great music, seafood, and service. Love the warm home-made plantain chips on every table to snack on while you wait for the food to be ready!

The plate are huge, fresh and the food is served generously. I would highly recommend to try their fish ceviche. It also seems that the restaurant attracted Peruvian people, so this restaurant is recommended.

Very happy with our experience. For sea food lovers this restaurant is a true find. We shared a portion of cream of seafood and one of jalea mixta (seafood doughnuts). Portion huge enough, even for 2 persons , we couldn't finish. Pisco sour is very tasty, food well prepared. Not cheap but worth every penny.

Never tried Peruvian cuisine but on our 8th wedding anniversary, my husband & I (with our 2 kids) decided to try this place. We ordered: (1) ceviche tres toques (2) mar y tierra (3) lomo saltado (4) salchipapas Each of us enjoyed (and shared) our meal. We were served cancha y los chifles as we were waiting for our ceviche.... More

We had a wonderful evening at dinner at Pat' e Palo. The service was excellent, always attentive but never a bother. Our waiter was helpful in guiding us through the menu as well as the wine selection. Pisco Sour drinks were deadly, but delicious! We also loved the creamy shrimp soup and the ceviche. Our mains, including a sautéed beef... More

I LOVE this restaurant, hands down! I went to Peru last year, and so delighted to find this little gem. The food here brought me right back to Peru. Their attention to detail is amazing. I ordered the ceviche, which I LOVE, and these guys did it perfectly. It tasted great, and they even served with with the large corn... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Rosemont-La Petite-Patrie
Rosemont-La Petite-Patrie has one of Canada's most prominent Italian communities, with Little Italy concentrated along the convivial bends of Saint-Lawrence Boulevard. Known for its fantastic bars and authentic Italian fare, the domain includes the Jean-Talon Market, the largest public market in North America. Open year-round, sunny months see fruit and vegetable stalls set up outside the main chalet, while blustery weather draws crowds indoors to meat and cheese sellers, spices and truffles stalls, and for regional delicacies such as rare Charlevoix lamb. While the market dictates what's fresh for local restaurateurs, visitors can please more than their palates, taking in the Renaissance architecture and frescos of Madonna della Difesa, the picturesque Rue Saint-Rominique with its cheerful homes and splendid gardens, or the ornamented thoroughfare of Plaza Saint-Hubert.
