We visited there in the evening for dinner and it took ages to get served and for our food to come. The food was ok but nothing special.

We were looking for an Indian restaurant while staying overnight in Montreal, and chose this based upon reviews. The food and service were fantastic and the restaurant was nicely appointed (what my grandkids would call a cloth napkin restaurant). Prices were reasonable, and we were very glad we ate here.

Its a small restaurant with average decor. I visited it with my friends for lunch. The service is a bit slow though not bad. For the food, i got a rotten cauliflower curry. But when informed to the person in charge , it was quickly replaced. I wouldn't say this is authentic Indian food but is pricey reasonably.

It’s a very small place, one person serving so the service was kind of slow. The waiter/owner was super nice and did try to do his best. Chicken was a touch too dry, the vegetable samosa was okay, although I’ve tasted better. Food is average, edible and very inexpensive. Parking can be a problem in the area.

We very much enjoyed our dinner - the food was excellent, the service very attentive and the restaurant itself comfortable and interesting. Try the Poulet Aux Beurre!

I picked up dishes for dinner from here. The dishes were flavorful. North Indian. The samosa tasted weird. The mixed vegetable dish was very good. I will go back unless I have better choices.

We were group of 6 from NY and we were very surprised by this little resto. Food was really good. Specially chicken tika masala and fish mirchi. Spicy just the way we Indians like it. Surprise was very polite and fast. Will return back on our next trip.

I really enjoyed Indian food there. They brought some crisp bread and few dippings to start. I will come back soon.

THIS WAS JUST A PERFECT spot TO EAT. WHITE TABLE CLOTHS, pleasant lighting and most importantly absolutely wonderful India cuisine. The mango pickles are extraordinary.

Staying in Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal)

Neighbourhood Profile
Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal)
The historic centre of Montreal, Vieux-Port is home to some of the city's most antiquated buildings and picturesque streets. Along the waters of the St. Lawrence River, the bank of Old Port features museums, festivals, food stalls, and outdoor athletics, a celebrated part of the city that explodes into fireworks displays on warm summer nights. At its centre, street performers and artists compete with sprawling restaurant terraces for space along Jacques-Cartier Square, while the cobbled streets of Rue St. Paul and Rue Notre-Dame offer a reprieve of quiet galleries and atmospheric wine bars. Horse-drawn carriages are not an uncommon part of traffic, and the narrows they traverse are lined with boutiques, crêperies, and poutine shops enshrined in buildings of stone and wooden lattices. Here you can evoke Montreal's past with a traditional cooking lesson or historical tour, then enjoy its artistic present with live music and theatre.
