Service was super quick and very friendly. But the food was not great. Of the 4 meals, only the noodle bowl was a big hit. The Pad Thai and Singapore noodles were so-so and the Chow Mein was almost inedible. And it was pretty expensive for what we got. Won't be back.

Food was good, but not a restaurant that would be on my list to go back. Waiter pants half down, dragging his feet and not very welcoming. Maybe he had a bad day. Food and price was average and prices.

If you want a bowl of soup, this is the place. Had great vegetable noodle bowl. My son had a beef noodle bowl, very good. Husband had a shrimp bowl, excellent. We went midweek, not real busy, received our meals in a reasonable amiunt of time.

Came in and looked busy at 12 noon, thought this was a good sign. Water glasses landed abruptly on table. Ordered food - grilled chicken and seafood Tom yum, this came with only 2 shrimp, no other seafood there. When we paid, the rude man was demanding more money, saying tax and tip were not added and yet clearly on... More

This is a typical Asian food greasy spoon, disguised a a trendy fast food outfit. Service was very poor, or, worst, non existent. The owner-waiter showed up three times: to take the order and to deliver the dishes. We were a party of five. The food was very very ordinary and not worth the money. At the end of the... More

Second visit for a quick dinner. Excellent bowl of soup. Nothing fancy but healthy, tasty food with pleasant and quick service.

Went here for lunch. The food was fine, it came out in a hurry. The washrooms were absolutely disgusting. The management seriously need to learn how to pick up a toilet brush and scrub their toilet bowls. I honestly found cleaner bathrooms at Starbucks. Not acceptable. This however, was not the worst part. After we paid for our meal and... More

We were in the mood for warming soup after standing outdoors for a couple hours, for the wonderful Montreal Remembrance ceremonies at McGill University on 11 November. The parade ended at Square Phillips, which was perfect as we had wanted to try Soupbol. Service was prompt even tho they were lunch-hour busy, and we both enjoyed the beef tatanese soup... More

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighbourhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
