Great smiley service! The press real lemon and then add some of the slush cruchsed ice. Just awesome and refreshing on a hot summer day!!

Spent the fun night watching the fireworks at the Old Port. Ice cream at Chez Catherine afterwards. Have to say (sorry B&J) I liked it better than Ben & Jerry's up the street! Easy to recommend.

We were very disappointed. The gelato is very mediocre. There are many flavors of ice cream & they supposedly make their own gelato. We have tasted some very good gelato & we were surprised that your review was so good.

personally feel this place is overrated. We are lunch here and would rate this restaurant as average on all marks. While we were immediately seated, but it took about 1:15 minutes to order and pay for our meal. The service was pretty slow, but the waitress was very busy and did not have enough help. The crepes were mediocre, and... More

I went in just to grab a drink and get away from the rain outside. The server (or possibly owner) saw me looking at my map and spent ages recommending different things for me to do, even offered me an umbrella! Really went out of her way to help, and the coffee was great too!

Had a cone, vanilla soft serve with milk chocolate Belgian dip. The ice cream was flavourless. And the chocolate not as thick as I've had elsewhere .

Friends and I stopped here on an unseasonably warm day. I had the watermelon sorbet and it was delicious. The staff are very friendly. I'll definitely return.

Definitely worth a stop! Very friendly staff and delicious crepes! A little pricey though. Note that you need to pay cash.

The chocolate and banana crepe is delicious! Place is very small but nice. No complaints! Must try the crepes!

Staying in Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal)

Neighbourhood Profile
Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal)
The historic centre of Montreal, Vieux-Port is home to some of the city's most antiquated buildings and picturesque streets. Along the waters of the St. Lawrence River, the bank of Old Port features museums, festivals, food stalls, and outdoor athletics, a celebrated part of the city that explodes into fireworks displays on warm summer nights. At its centre, street performers and artists compete with sprawling restaurant terraces for space along Jacques-Cartier Square, while the cobbled streets of Rue St. Paul and Rue Notre-Dame offer a reprieve of quiet galleries and atmospheric wine bars. Horse-drawn carriages are not an uncommon part of traffic, and the narrows they traverse are lined with boutiques, crêperies, and poutine shops enshrined in buildings of stone and wooden lattices. Here you can evoke Montreal's past with a traditional cooking lesson or historical tour, then enjoy its artistic present with live music and theatre.
