We got muffins and a donut and pannacotta and they were all really good. We sat upstairs, where you can see the bakers at work in the kitchen. There are books to read and wifi and complimentary water. Very nice cafe.

I went here in anticipation of a yummy dessert.I ordered the multi fruit clafoutis and tea.The Jasmine tea was yummy however the clafoutis taste was off with a weird flavor. We took a bite and returned it back to the clerk and he gave us a hard time.I told him can I please return it for something of equal value and... I guess, part is to blame on the mayor of Montreal. Commercial rents are sky rocking. Mamie Clafoutis prices followed( $ 8.00 for a ham/cheese sandwich ), and now, the icing on the cake....they don't even take credit cards anymore. Just debit or cash. With all the independent bakery stores opening everyday, we'll see how long mamie's going to stay... More

Every visit to Montreal ends in a visit to Mamie Clafoutis. Most locals come in to purchase their breads and their croissants. They have a variety of fancier cakes and sandwiches as well. Second floor gallery offers comfortable seating overlooking the baking area. Fascinating.

Went with my wife, we had two cappuccino and some kind of chocolatine, everything was super good, and the service too. I recommend it, and I will go back.

Fabulous desserts, sandwiches and coffee. Our pork and Apple panini was delicious. Service was excellent and we will go back ( in fact, we did the next day). I can't wait until my next trip to Montreal.

Excellent all around. Pastries, turnovers and mini tartelettes were scrumptious. It was worth the trip. Everything was fresh. Don't have any particular favorite dessert. Choice is excellent and we arrived at around 6:00 p.m. and counters still well stocked. Only negative comment, servers are not really friendly.

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colourful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
