Went to Flyjin on a Saturday evening to have some dinner and drinks. They started off strong with the sashimi and the cocktails as well. As the night went on it started to liven up and decided to order a bottle. When I asked if...I could leave the bottle for another evening in the event I can’t finish it, I was told yes and exchanged details with the bartender Juan. I tried making contact after that and instead got ghosted. Spent $250+ for the food and cocktails and $350+ for almost an entire bottle remaining as we left not long after and didn’t get what was said. If you’re getting a couple drinks and want decent food, go for it. Do not trust or expect anything beyond that except to get scammed out of a bottle if you leave it behind.More
We used to go to this place since it first opened for dinners , friends’ birthdays , and clubbing since years for a good time ! Recently , the staff at the door / entrance are super rude and unfriendly, agressive and make people wait...in line forever for no reason. No hospitality, sometimes they oblige you to buy a bottle if you want to get in, if you are just simply two people! Most times it gets way too crowded while it’s a very small place ! I do not Recommend this place . So many better options, and it is where you get treated right and with respect.More
We had a great night at Flyjin. Such a fun spot with incredible food. The miso black cod was an highlight, as were the tuna maki. The fish was very fresh. Our servers were very attentive and we loved the music. We will absolutely come...back when we visit Old Montréal.More
Friendly staff, good vibes, food was amazing Just take note that you'd require a minimum of 2 bottles for a bar table for the whole night
Just wanted to say the evening bday of my 2 friends was lovely and it's so worth going back :P Jesse (our waitress) was incredible! Service was outsanding. They were even 2 nice treats for the 2 bday boys. Music was good and the whole...service the rest of the night was just great ! Thanks a lot to Jam's team for this unforgettable evening. See you definitely soon xoxoxoMore
Terrible. The bouncers were so rude and they told me I had to pay 50$ to get in on a thursday. My friend paid and they didn’t let him in. Finally I got into the empty place and it was simply terrible
Visited this place recently with some work colleagues for a huge celebratory dinner. The access is a bit clandestine, having entered through an alley and bypassing a mammoth dumpster. Once inside, you are greeter by low ceilings and not much lighting. We ordered the chicken...dumplings to start, among other items. Delicious! As was the Summer salad - on point! Great option for gluten free folks. For my main, I ordered the braised ribs Korean style. They were divine and so tender - huge portion (shareable). But that's all you get on the plate - meat. No rice, noodles or any other sidekicks. We were supposed to have veggies and agree much prodding to the busboy and waitress, the famous veggies made an appearance, more than 10 minutes after we had received the ribs. Copious amounts of bok choy burnt up and served in a crockery bowl. Enough for me and my colleague to share. Very odd how the ribs are presented. My other colleague had the Filet mignon skewers and they were fantastic. As was the crab sushi wrapped in tempura - hit it out of the Park. The service was great - the waitress made suggestions when asked. Water refills were done in the right amount of time. After being there for over 3 hours, I can say that the bathrooms by the time I left - needed a major TLC revamp. I didn't taste the desserts, but they looked quite mouth watering. I would revisit this place for sure!More
very popular bar with great food, staff is really very good. nice place to eat / to have a drink with friends.
I came to Flyjin club with friends, we had tables reserved and a bottle service. I came into the club and left my coat and my friend’s coat at Coat check, with my wallet and keys (all of my credit cards and IDs inside) in...the inside zipper pocket of the coat. While leaving, coat check claimed that my coat was stolen and that all of my belongings were nowhere to be found. Management was unhelpful and uncooperative in helping me find it. I basically got kicked out of the club and told to go home while trying to find my things. I could not go home because I had no keys and no money and was homeless for the night, and I still haven’t received any of my things. I don’t recommend trusting this club or going to this club at all. Worst experience of my life by far.More
We went to Flyjin for a Bachelorette and had a great time. The food is AMAZING and for the quality and quantity, extremely reasonably priced. Great service and a great time - highly recommend.
I was looking for good coffee in the old port of Montreal and found recommendations for Flyjin cafe online. If you go looking for it, please be aware that it has been rebranded as Cafe Balance (street sign) while the door and some signs still...have Flyjin branding as well. This was confusing! It's very small, very limited seating, but the coffee is good.More
Flyjin is by far the spot to make big parties ! Kind of underground but fancy ambiance ... Wednesday night got the best vibe IMO
My office selected this restaurant for our year-end celebration. We wanted a place where we could dance after dinner. Upon arrival, I was immediately put off by the very unapproachable hostess, but the engaging barman made up for her attitude. We sat at two long...tables for a preset menu of fantastic dumplings, delicious sushi, unbelievable filet mignon, and the aforementioned black cod. Everything was unbelievably good, but the black cod was a standout. I would go back over and over again just for that dish! Important to note that the music is techno (not my thing) until 11:30. Then they move the tables to make a proper dance floor. If you want to keep a table, it's bottle service only, and the music switches to house.More
We were disappointed when we went for my friend birthday party and a security guy pushed my friend while he was trying to walk in the croud. As we tried to tell him to stop pushing as he was hurting her, he started to yell...at us and told us to get out of the nightclub. We were probably the less drunk people in the whole club and the calmest but we had to leave early because of that security guard for apparently no reason.More
