Some servers insisted to talk to us in French even after it was clear that we do not speak that language. Food was plentiful and good enough, though the few courses that were noteworthy were balanced out by others that fell slightly short of... More

The steak was good but the service wasn't the best. The restaurant could have used a bit of cleaning.

This restaurant was a great find. Recommended by a Quebec friend. We had a very late lunch but ordered also from the dinner menu. Enormous portions. Great service. Really concerned about our Belle Centre tickets and watched our time. I had the General Tao (sic) salad which I couldn't finish. Enormous and yum. Table ordered lobster poutine and spinach dip... We met two other couples for a late lunch/early dinner before seeing Cirque de soleil at the Bell Centre just down a block across the street. This was a fortunate choice, both because of the fine meals we all had and the very short walk to Bell Centre. It was Sunday afternoon and we had made a reservation but found... More

Stopped in for a quick dinner before a show at the Bell Center. Luckily for a Friday night the restaurant wasn't packed so we were seated right away. Our order went through quickly and the ribs (big portions) fries and coleslaw arrived quickly. Fille period of ribs $28 and half for $22.

Visited on Sunday, November 13. Slow night, not many customers. Outstanding ribs, very tasty. Another in our party had the rib steak and raved about it. All in all, excellent food. Will visit next time I'm in Montreal.

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighbourhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
