Europea was one of the top 10 restaurants in Canada, as per Trip Advisor. A friend and I attended in December. I am in my 50's and it is the best meal I've ever had in a restaurant in terms of variety, experience, taste and service.

We were 4 friends going for the first time. Food presentation is incredible, best one I have seen. Flavour did meet our expectations, it is good, but not 'wow'. Service is good, but the restaurant sells table-time, so waiters hurry up patrons, as most of the options come out of a 'table d'hote' (a fixed priced menu selection) waiters try... More

One of the top 5 restaurants in Montreal, Europea has never let me down. They have creative traditional dishes that are perfected using some incredible molecular techniques (although they don't go overboard on the molecular!). Highly recommended for an amazing gastronomic feast!

I had a neutral impression of Europea upon arrival as far as its structure and layout. However, once we were seated, everything changed. Our waiter, Emmerich (his friends call him Rico) was akin to a performer on Broadway. Just his descriptions of the menus, had my mouth beginning to salivate. Once we chose our dinners, however, the real show began.... More

We arrived at Montreal late and was looking for a place to celebrate my wife's birthday. Our Airbnb host recommended Europea and we couldn't go wrong with this place. Sure enough, it was way beyond our expectation. We came without a reservation, but were seated a mere 15 minutes later even though there was a large office party going on.... More

unfortunately not a great evening for what was told us to be the best restaurant in Montreal. We got a table begind a door, very windy and cold. For this kind off restaurant service can be much better. For the somulier we have only good words. We are lucky to live in Europe and used to a better level. Sorry

My wife and I went to Europea on our honeymoon. The service was impeccable. We particularly enjoyed the cheese room. Every course of our meal was a work of art. We both highly reccomend Europea.

Husband and I went and each ordered the 12 course tasting menu. Warning- there are several courses that come before the official course, and we left with a bag of goodies. So much food! but we took 3.5 hours to dine and it was worth every minute and every penny. As a 30+ year vegetarian, I have never had a... More

We we greeted normally, but that is where normal ended. This is a one of a kind restaurant which caters to the presentation, the style and uniqueness of food. The severs were meticulous in making sure every aspect of your experience was first class. The prices are high, but after you leave, you say that was worth every penny. From... More

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighbourhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
