I went to Kanda on one of those nights where I just needed to crush my sushi craving. I must say that overall the Sushi itself was relatively good, especially at lunch prices. However, the thing that ruined my meal was the service. The server was very rude to us overall. On top of that, after we had ordered our... More

Kanda offers lunch specials and a full sushi menu at dinner. Bring an appetite because it is all you can eat, and if you are going to spend the $... Love the tempura veggies and tempura shrimp but the sushi is fresh and delish!

Well, the "all you can eat" menu is the best i've tried in town. Kanda is not a gourmet place for sushis, but If you like to try a wide variety of sushis for a decent price dowtown : just go fot it !

Stumbled across this place on a recent trip to Montreal and was excited to see that salmon sashimi was on offer for an AYCE lunch menu, but almost right away I had doubts about my choice of restaurants. Service was poor, I don't think a member of staff ever said a thing to me. I was given a piece of... More

So I have been a loyal Kanda customer for about 2 years since working near GUY. I regularly go there with colleagues or on other business lunches. The food has always been ok, clean, basic nothing to go crazy over. I have noticed in the past that the staff seem a little bit annoyed or stressed or unhappy, I presume... More

Clean, delicious, quick service and nice ambiance, this is one of my favorite sushi restaurants.. at a really low cost. I am a regular! Weekdays, until 3 PM, all you can eat for CA$12-CA$14. A real all-you-can-eat, which means you pay $1 for each piece you ordered and couldn't eat :) Kitchen closes at 3 PM. Dinner by menu orders.

Kanda offers roughly half as many raw options as you'll find at most sit-down sushi restaurants, far too limited a selection to recommend to experienced sushi lovers. Their most noteworthy dish lives on the non-sushi section of the menu: grilled salmon head, or more accurately cheeks (thus no fishy eyes staring at you). There's no elegant way to slurp the... Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighbourhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
