We had a family celebration at this restaurant. The staff were so friendly and accommodating - offering to take photos for us etc. The food was wonderful - such flavours! We had the Table d'Hôte #1 & 2 - from the first bite to the last everything was delicious. Some of the dishes we tried - Red Lentil soup, the... More

We returned after having had great service and food in the past to celebrate a special anniversary. Everything from the welcome to the au-revoir was friendly and the service - first class. Selecting from the table d'hote we had the Afghani soup - called Mashaba (noodles, vegetables, ground beef, yogurt and coriander), Mantoo an entree of steamed pastas stuffed with... More

This is my time having Afghan cuisine and Khyber Pass did not disappoint. Generous portions and delicious! A plus is you can bring your own wine.

You don't want to miss out on this restaurant in Montreal, so make a reservation before you go. Great food, great service, great ambiance. Perfect for a romantic evening or a night out with friends. Bring your own wine, which you can pick up from SAQ right down the street. This place is a must if you are visiting Montreal!

An afghan cuisine restaurant in Plateau neighborhood. Food is very similar to middle eastern cuisine. Very tasty kebabs, lamb shank, lentil soups are great prices. Hard to beat for value, taste and ethnicity.

I was surprised to find an Afghan restaurant in Montreal, it was in a small space, but was very busy even on a very cold evening in Montreal, food was very delicious, authentic Afghan flavors, service was nice, and price was right.

My girlfriends and I are on a mission to try every cuisine that exists in Montreal. We are open to most of things and willing to give everything a try. We love discovering new flavors and sharing with people. So this time around we went for Afghanistan food. This little gem is something to try. We got the "table d'hote"... More

Truly tasty food in a fun dining room. Great service with a smile and efficient options. We chose the full menu from starter to dessert and all were amazing. Could return in a heartbeat. It is a bit difficult to find in the night as street lighting is romantic and parking always an issue in Montreal.

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colourful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
