Though I generally love the food and service at Mythos and have been coming here for many years with my family, my last experience here was very disappointing. We were a party of around 10, and several of us decided to take a group menu. However, we thought we were taking the menu that gave a choice between 3 main... More

Really nice restaurant with a lot of ambiance. Stone walls, linen tablecloths, great service. Fried zucchini, tzatziki, octopus, Mythos salad, fried cheese, lamb...with a side of ouzo - all delicious. We will definitely be coming back!

Pretty much everything meat is grilled and yummy! Portions are generous and the food taste good!👍 A warning tho: if you're on a diet, this place is totally not for you⛔️ While the food is not saggy, everything that's not grilled is fried and one can tell, it contains substantial amount of unsaturated fats! Otherwise I'd say it's a bit... More

Interesting restaurant tucked in a basement. The vibe and decor is unique. The food was good with live music. Found at times it was difficult to get the attention of the staff. But that was most likely because it was busy. There is also live music which started at 2030. It was Greek music and was pleasant. We were in... More

I have been to Mythos a lot of times; they have delicious and yummy food, great service and good music. Having all this in mind, I took my visiting cousins there. I was a bit disappointed, cause the female singer they had is no more there, the band is 2 guys now, the music was good, but I found the... More

We stopped in here in the middle of a pouring rain thunderstorm. The setting was very formal - white linen, etc. we were not expecting this and were definitely under dressed but they did not treat us any different anyway. We ordered a bunch of things to split for the table and everything was excellent - grilled octopuse, spicy shrimp,... More

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colourful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
