Holder is obviously a great meeting place for the locals. We actually stopped for a drink and stayed for dinner! The restaurant quickly filled up with large groups. Everyone was having a great time. The food and drinks were great and the service was outstanding.

My partner and I made a reservation the morning of our visit and were very glad we did as it was packed. I am not surprised as the food is fantastic! We were seated and had service almost immediately. Our server was very good. I...More

Food: I had the braised beef cheek à la bourguignonne. It looked absolutely beautiful but one large edge of one beef medallion was completely dried out and hard. The excellent gravy allowed me to choke down the dried out portion of beef. The potatoes and...More

Nice atmosphere and good service. The star is the food, however. There were some new takes on French cuisine, like veal flank steak. The portions were very generous. The preliminaries were pricey but the main courses were modestly priced. Wines by the glass were expensive...More

Good menus selection, delicious entrees and good desserts. Many choices in the daily special menu with an extensive wine list. For a good seat go early as the restaurant seemed to fill up after 7:00 pm.

Great food and great atmosphere. Calves liver so tasty and loved the profiteroles. My fiance really enjoyed the duck confit salad. Highly recommend.

This restaurant is at the edge of Old Town but it is definitely a hipper, trendier locale. The service was excellent and they managed to get us a table without a reservation on a Wednesday night but it was literally the last one available at...More

Lovely experience with dinner at Holder at end of Rue St. Paul. Very busy so reservations required. Resaonable prices; good service; fabulous dark chocolate; with coffee ice cream & chocolate cause! Magnifique!

On any other day, this restaurant may have gotten four stars, but it was the last night of our trip and we had many spectacular meals. There wasn't anything bad here (though the lobster ravioli was a bit fishy), but nothing was outstanding. My pasta...More

I agree. Probably give them a call, from my memory of my visit I think 45 could be a little tight.
