This restaurant is a must when visiting Crescent Street in Montreal. My sister and I have been to Crescent Street in Montreal before but not Weinstein & Gavino's. We were there on April 17th checking out menus, saw theirs and decided to have dinner there. Are we glad we did. I had the Polpo Alla Griglia - Grilled Octopus, lemon... More

The food is average with the pizza being among the worst I've had! It's a pity such a nice place with great ambience has run of the mill food.

Hi Jennifer C, We are disappointed in your review. We are particularly concerned with the comment about our pizza. We like to believe that our pizzas are very good and I myself have a pizza every other week and still enjoy it very much. That being said we would like to invite you back so that we can have the... We were there to celebrate a birthday. The food was very good, as the plates were plentiful. We had several pasta dishes, a la gigi, romanoff and carbonara as well as the chicken parm. The entree of meatballs was amazing. We had David as a waiter, awesome overall experience. We will be back for sure!!

On my first trip to Montreal almost 18 years ago I remember having a great time and eating very good at this place. Well, my family and I had the chance to visit it again last summer and it is still a great place! Great pizza, pasta and desserts. You will find all kinds of beer brands and styles! The... More

Good solid food. Great apps: calamari, octopus and especially the meatballs, which I was able to make a meal out of. Great basil oil for the bread.

On our first evening coming into the city we decided to walk into the restaurant being close to our hotel and on the same strip as many of the pub hangouts. Most interesting inside, three story older building with large chandelier in the centre. Staff were most attentive and friendly which was nice to see as our first point of... More

I've been here a few times and it's always been consistent. The service is good , the food is descent and it's usually pretty busy, but you can always get a table. The menu has a variety of different items and the bread and oil they bring to the table is ok as well. If you want to go somewhere... More

Service was great. Food was excellent. The black tiger shrimp was perfectly cooked with a great flavour and a good balance of heat from the chillies. Would highly recommend to others.

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighbourhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
