You must stop at Ziggy's Pub, he is an icon on Crescent Street, the ladies behind the bar are also spectacular (Elizabeth & Victoria). The clientele are very eclectic we always meet the nicest people there. No food (besides chips and nuts) but they will order anything you want in. You need to stop in and say Hi to Ziggy... More

We always stop in for a beer when we are on Crescent St. Ziggy is an interesting man and knows whats going on in the city. We love sitting on the other side of Crescent and watching the sights.

Been watching sports here since I started visiting here over 5 years ago. Ziggy, his crew and the regulars treat us like friends rather tourists from the states. The patrons here are friendly, no prima donnas here. Have many tv's, and a great juke box. My friend Phil loves this place. Was there to reconnect yesterday - same story. Elizabeth... More

Cute little sports bar in the middle of trendy Crescent Street, Ziggy's is a great place to watch the Habs, football and especially Formula 1 racing. The clientele seems to know each other very well, but they don't make you feel uncomfortable either. Drink prices are pretty standard. You're paying for atmosphere anyways. If you're looking for a laid back... More

It was so cold the night we visited. Loved that although the bar was extremely crowded we were able to sit outside in a heated entryway. We sat only feet away from the freezing cold sipping our drinks and comfortable as could be.

Ziggy's is a great place if you are looking to hang in Montreal and fell like you are part of the neighborhood. The staff is great, and Ziggy is usually around. Decently priced drinks as well.

I continue to return to this pub after the Canadiens Games because the atmosphere is amazing, Dan is a Great Guy... he remembers me everytime I come back and we always end up having a wonderful night here. The Forum Seats, the Sports Memorabilia, are second to the amazing staff and wonderful home town feel this pub projects.

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighbourhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
