My family and I had the most amazing dining experience at Atma time and again.. My wife works in textiles and has often been to India on business. She knows Indian food and this place is excellent authentic Indian cuisine. Ravi the owner and his staff make us feel at home, and deliver an excellent dining experience time after time!... More

I will start off by saying the food is good. It won't blow your mind but you will be happy you decided to go. I have eaten here twice. First time was in 2015 and we ate upstairs on the couch like pillows surrounding the table. It was a great experience overall and the ambiance is worth the reservation. The... More

While Atma's menu is packed with meat, there are more than enough vegetarian options to please everyone in your party. We prefer a spicy kick to our food (often vegetarian dishes are too bland) and this restaurant delivers - from our start of onion fritters all the way though the vegetable rice - it was all packed with flavor. Plating... More

Atma's front door is discret, but the first steps in brought us automatically somewhere else! The subdued atmosphere, the candle lights, the hanging curtains over the bar, the alcoves, the sofas and pillows instantly welcomed us in a warm, sobre and classy decor that makes me feel that i've just discovered a gem on the Main! The owner, a very... More

Food was delicious, especially the chaat samosa, but the prices are bit high. Service is a little slow, but that may be because we are used to American pace.

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colourful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
