I'm a repeat visitor to Taza Flores for a reason: great variety of very tasty, nicely presented tapas. It's easy to have too many of these delicacies, which can then set you back quite a few Dollars as the place is not exactly low-cost, albeit still all good value for money. Very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff

We made a reservation via YELP, which was confirmed. On arrival, I was told, by whom appeared to be the owner, that they don't accept reservations. I still have not figured out what a "reserved" sign on a few empty tables meant. As no tables were available, apart from those empty reserved-sign ones, we were invited to wait until one... More

Hello, I am the owner and was not present at that time but i did talk to my staff and they remember very well the situation. Yes we do take reservations but like it says as a notice on the yelp reservation system, we do not take reservations on the terrace, since we only have 20-25 seats. My staff tried... More

Was in Montreal for a week and, because a previous meeting place was fully booked, found this little gem. Ended up using Taza Flores as my HQ during my stay. Always a warm welcome. Great for casual meetings, drinks, sharing plates and stories. Music is good and sound quality is good. Great wine list with a rare rosé from Rioja... More

A friend and I discovered this place on a whim when we wanted to try something new. Among other items, we tried these and we absolutely loved them: DATTES AU BACON FARÇIES AUX CHORIZO ET NOIX, CIGARE À L'AGNEAU SAUCE À L'ORANGE, CEVICHE DE TILAPIA AU LAIT DE COCO. Try this place on a Thursday or Friday 5 à7 on... More

Good tapas in the city, a little pricey and small portions but tasty. Nice bistro on the terrasse but noisy due to Park Avenue, although it is lively and has a good vibe none the less.

We were a party of 6 older well traveled seniors.Taxa Flores is young eclectic with good atmosphere, friendly service and good food, nothing exceptional but also nothing bad.Definitely not a Spanish tapas bar but I do not think it is their mission.Basically a friendly neighborhood restaurant in Mile End and we were happy to have been there.Waitress had a lot of sense... A mosaic of Flavours! Bar Taza Flores offers tapas in an enticing variety of flavours, aromas and colours. An adventure for all your senses! The Spanish tradition of sipping a glass of wine or a cool draft while munching on tapas (appetizer-sized dishes) comes alive in Mile End with a special Mediterranean touch. Heavy On Taste Light On Your WalletIf your mouth is watering in anticipation but your mind is dreading the bill, be reassured. The tapas here remain very affordable, which allows you to experiment with various flavours and make it home without depleting your wallet. Alcohol-wise, the bar has various scotches, ports, Spanish wines, beers and cocktails. Happy hour always starts at 4pm but ends at different times depending on the day. Exotic Surroundings Bar Taza Flores’ mismatched chairs, various paintings and exotic paraphernalia ranging from antiques to more modern and funky objects make you relax as soon as you enter. Montrealers, known for their love of terraces, can continue their love affair with the outdoors and sip a glass under the sun, weather permitting. They also have special nights, like flamenco night and other live entertainment events; check their website to see what’s coming up.

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colourful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
