I visited in June, and had a crepe that was supposed to be with summer fruits. I was expecting some berries maybe, or cherries or peaches, but it came with sliced apples and grapes. Not much flavor.

We found this place by sheer chance whilst trying to find a good place for some lunch. It wasn't too full, and we were seated immediately. I ordered their poutine, which came with a green pepper sauce. It was my first-ever poutine, so I didn't really know what to expect; but it was great! It was unconventional because it wasn't... This restaurant was okay to step into off the street on a chilly day, but we wouldn't make a special trip to attend. The ambiance was loud & chaotic. The food was okay, the portions were generous & the sides were good. I wouldn't go there again, but it was okay for a quick lunch.

The service was excellent and the breakfast was delicious and well priced. And the location on Peel Street is about a block away from all the shopping on St Catherine Street.

What I like is the coffee, the fries, the house burger, the omelettes. I can't think of anything I have not liked yet after 3 meals there.

The menu is rather basic, nothing overly exciting, and the atmosphere is that of a standard cafe. Its an ok place to grab some lunch when you are just needing something to eat.

The menu is incredibly uninspired which is too bad because the inside is quite nice. It seems as though the menu is really just an afterthought. The service was ok, but considering we were the only table in the place it was really quite poor. The ladies I was with had the goat cheese sandwich, it was really a poor... More

We stopped in after touring the underground city for lunch and were quite satisfied. The interior is nice with many window seats. We sat by an open window in the back. There was only one waitress but she was fantastic! She was very personable and made great suggestions despite her workload. Service was a bit slow but not any slower... More

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colourful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
