Thanks to a NYTimes article my husband found- we put this place on our dinner 'musts' while visiting QC with our teen children. We were lucky to get squeezed in to an early seating after calling one day in advance (so call earlier!) Our waiter went to great lengths to describe the preparation of the amazing chalkboard menu to us... More

We spent four days in Quebec. We went to Le Saint Amour, Chez Boulay, IX pour Bistro, and Patente. Patente won hand down. We has the goat three ways, bison tartar, mushrooms, oxtail, scallops, and duck. Every dish was excellent. This place is not fast (dishes come out slowly), does not high end service (the wait staff is relaxed), and... More

This was our best restaurant experience in Quebec City. A waiter in a pizzeria on our first night in town recommended it...which is kind of cool when you think about it. Said it was his favorite place and urged us to go. We didn't have a reservation and got there as the doors opened at five; we were lucky; they... More

Attended this restaurant with a friend on a business trip. I had been to the sister restaurant Ketchup. I found the approach and concept very similar but the experience at P&M was a bit better ! More comfortable atmosphere. The food was excellent. I had gravlax and pork dish. Both were out of this world! Highly recommend and I will... More

Great place, fantastic atmosphere, fab service and amazing food, we shared the pork shoulder and a chicken dish between 4 people and barely finished it, it is not a huge place but all tables taken, booking a must!

This is a small bistro a few minutes ride from old town. Definitely worth the trip by taxi. It is a neighborhood place away from the crowds. The food was deliciously cooked with excellent presentation. It has a full bar. Food was tasty, fresh and the best trout ever. Atmosphere is French and homey. I thought $32 for 12 oysters... More

A few miles outside of the walled city lies the neighborhood of San Roch. A quick cab ride down a quiet street takes you to this small, off the beaten path restaurant. We were seated at the bar (best place in the restaurant) where we got to watch the cook at work. His mastery of the stove and food preparation... More

We had a salad of roasted Radiccio with zucchini flowers, stuffed with a spicy filling. This was light and usual. Duo Poissons, was a small portion of smoked salmon and raw halibut with lumpfish roe accompanied by an Apple, walnut, caper salad. It doesn't sound like much, but it was really excellent. The duck confit was perfectly roasted and accompanied... More

Another cute homey farm to table restaurant in Quebec City. Love the ambiance and the friendly wait staff. Don't expect a menu - it's written on a chalk board in french. But the waiter translates the menu word for word!
