Excellent food with cosy atmosphere and lovely staff. I had porc de turlon for main and it was delish. Vegetables taste so strong in flavour which was great. Had amazing microbrewery draft cider too. This is a perfect spot for having a proper Québécoise meal with nice local feeling!

I have to confess, at first sight it was a little weird place. And the waiters and staff too much hipster for me. I was completely wrong, the food was excellent, and the service awesome. First time that I tasted Bison on my life and I loved it. Attached pix from this gorgeous meal.

I had been to their sister restaurant "l'affaire est ketchup" and loved it so I told myself that it would be as good and I was right. This place is just great. Great friendly service, and the food is amazing. Menu changes depending on what they have in the kitchen that day so do not try to find a menu... More

We've driven by this small spot for 3 years now, stopped and chatted with the owners last year, but never fit it in until this winter. We were mostly drawn by the Pirate legend on the window and intrigued by the good reviews. The staff are friendly and the room is decorated a bit downscale, but my biggest complaint usually... More

From the looks outside or the surroundings, nothing hints to the food that is beeing prepared in this small location. Surprise surprise, great cuisine. Top chef inside a more that ordinary local. To bad the outside does not refect what is inside.

Thanks to a NYTimes article my husband found- we put this place on our dinner 'musts' while visiting QC with our teen children. We were lucky to get squeezed in to an early seating after calling one day in advance (so call earlier!) Our waiter went to great lengths to describe the preparation of the amazing chalkboard menu to us... More

We spent four days in Quebec. We went to Le Saint Amour, Chez Boulay, IX pour Bistro, and Patente. Patente won hand down. We has the goat three ways, bison tartar, mushrooms, oxtail, scallops, and duck. Every dish was excellent. This place is not fast (dishes come out slowly), does not high end service (the wait staff is relaxed), and... More

This was our best restaurant experience in Quebec City. A waiter in a pizzeria on our first night in town recommended it...which is kind of cool when you think about it. Said it was his favorite place and urged us to go. We didn't have a reservation and got there as the doors opened at five; we were lucky; they... More

Attended this restaurant with a friend on a business trip. I had been to the sister restaurant Ketchup. I found the approach and concept very similar but the experience at P&M was a bit better ! More comfortable atmosphere. The food was excellent. I had gravlax and pork dish. Both were out of this world! Highly recommend and I will... More
