We booked here last minute and they were able to accommodate. We weren't sure what to expect by the ultra casual outside. Inside however, we were treated to a great meal with excellent service. It had a relaxed, fun vibe yet high quality dishes.

Amazing service, food and wine. We got engaged on the day and was recommended here by our air bnb host. Was just great and felt very special. Would definitely recommend and wish we stayed in Quebec longer as would definitely go back.

We walked by but decided to continue down the street. After sitting for 15 minutes at Le Biilig Creperie without so much as a glass of water we left and went back to Cafe Le Hobbit. It was excellent. Great service and delicious food. Our waiter was extremely helpful and allowed me to attempt to read the menu to him... More

Enjoyed a dish with red peppers, polenta, quinoa, and fresh mozzarella. Wait staff was eager to please. Enjoyable evening.

Perfect for a late night beer after a long day of traveling. The bar man was very nice and chatted to us. The cafe itself is very nice with a real relaxed atmosphere. A definite if you like beer, wine and food.

A friend and I ate there last night and the choice of food, especially game type meat was great. We ate buffalo cheek to start and I had duck as my main. All very good.

I recently moved to Quebec and was buying coffee when a local lady told me to try Le hobbit. She told me it was one of the best in Quebec. We were opposite the restaurant at the time. I decided to take some family there a few days later for Sunday brunch. It was great. I won't go into the... More

The small but not cramped establishment offers some delicious breakfast food. For the homemade jam for the fresh bread, the complementary smoothie with your breakfast to my delicious and perfectly cooked omelet - all were superior. The establishment is also nothing like a tourist trap, rather a great place the locals love and enjoy. Highly recommend.
