We first discovered the Chou de Bruxelles while we were studying at Sherbrooke University back in 2009. We used to visit every Friday night and we were regulars there back in the day. We tried everything on the menu and have never been disappointed. The fact that the restaurant is bring your own wine allows for your own choice of... More

If, like me, you love Belgian cuisine with all its sweetness and creaminess, the Chou will win you over, first with its quaint decor, then with the charming service and finally (and definitely) with its great food. I ate there again recently and they still serve the best Waterzooi outside of Flanders! The starter was Flemish-style asparagus with a gentle... More

Third time visiting this restaurant. Food iwas great great as always. Worth the visit. Got 4 out of 5 due to service. Restaurant like that would be expected a more attentive and fine service. From more gentle water serving (spilled on table and me) to attention and eye contact... (Took for ever to get the bill and pay it while... More

This Belgian restaurant has a menu worthy of grand chefs. The service is so perfect you will feel royal. The dining rooms are smallish, Beautifully decorated and cosy. A place to enjoy a lovely meal without spending a whole lot.

I love to dine at The Chou de Bruxelles either with friends or just with my boyfriend. My usual is the delicious "velouté de poisson" followed by mussels accompanied with fantastic home made french fries and if I can, end it all with a "crème brulée" ! The service is excellent and you bring your own wine. No lunch though... More

The food is always good at this restaurant, I think the furniture could be renewed. It has been while since they have made improvement.

I have been eating yere since my early 20s, when Sherbrooke was a gastro wasteland until now, where it has become the hub of Townships Gastronomy. They have kept the classics, great service and updated the menu, the decor and added great new bathrooms, a bar and 50 more seats in the basement. Bring your own wine- always a plus.... More
