A nice surprice to have such a great local Thai. I love Thai food but often disappointed in the lack of flavour that they have- had the satay, sweet and sour pork and the red chicken curry and all were bursting with flavour. The Manager who I assume is the owner is full of life and enthusiasm-will definately come back

Love Thai food, I am very picky with my flavours. Starlake Thai just nailed it with their flavours, absolutely delightful dinner. Highly recommended. Can't go wrong, very friendly and accommodating staffs.

You can't go past Starlake for good Thai food. The wait for takeout can sometimes be long but it's always worth it! Eating in is good too, staff and service are great and we'd recommend the banquet menus if dining in a large group. Plenty of choice and plenty of food! It's also BYO which is a bonus :-)

This restaurant was first class. Lovely decor, very friendly, helpful staff and a good ambiance. It seemed to be very popular with locals, always a good sign. The menu was extensive and the food fantastic. Served in lovely Thai pottery which seemed to make the food taste even better! I would highly recommend this restaurant, a very pleasant experience from... More

One of the best Thai food experiences we had. You must try the Starlake special sauces accompanying the BBQ fillet and sweet and sour pork. Yummy.

Three of us shared a beautiful meal on a Sunday night. The menu was extensive, a little different and well presented. There was a good amount of food and the staff were very obliging. The meal we had was perfectly cooked and tasted fresh. Would definately return. Here.

Four of us ate here while visiting Hawkes Bay. Good meal had the mixed entree and prawn + pad Thai dishes. They made a vegetarian dish for one of us too. Great flavours prawns were perfectly cooked. Only small issue was the wait between entree and mains - seemed to take about 40mins. Would definitely eat here again.
