The small town of Dolceacqua, just a few kilometers inland from Vintimiglia, is worth a visit for its lovely medieval town, and especially its ancient, high-arched stone bridge which was once painted by Monet. A few steps from the bridge, Il Borgo offers a nice lunch option, with lots of local patrons (always a good sign in our opinion). The... More

Whether it's the pizza or ravioli, or the other Italian home-made delicacies, you'd better come early and hungry. It's packed with locals and day trippers from France and well worth the journey. Don't miss tasting the local wine, Rossese.

Wow this was our first meal in dolceacqua and it didn't disappoint. The portions were huge so don't over order. Great value for money too. If you fancy going here please book in advance as there was always a que to get a table.

Beautiful location, amazing pizza (and incredibly cheap), great service and Aperol spritz! What more could you ask for! Wonderful town, well worth a visit if passing through and definitely stop here for pizza!

Meal (~25€): - Risotto Pescatora: 5/5, really tasty and very good, good quantity, - Profiteroles: 3/5, nice but not my favorite, I've been surprised because it was made with pastry cream, - Expresso. Global: I've spent nice time here, the waiters have been nice but we have wait before having a table because they've had a lot of people. It... More

We are going to Dolceaqua at least 2-3 times per year from Nice to buy fantastic olive oil straight from the barrel and to visit Il Borgo for its pizza. My wife being great fan of Italian pizza prefers this one over any other restaurants in the area and even above the pizza I am making in my wooden fire... More

Our party of 4 had a truly magnificent supper here and I could not fault the whole experience...could have gone back again and again but we were only in Dolceacqua for... More

More up market than neighbouring La Rampa but worth it if you feel like something more than a pizza. We sampled the anti pasta, a different and delicious combination, the tuna special and sea bass , all were delicious as was the local wine.
