It's a place located high in the mountains- is a bit far away but it's worthy to arrive up there because the view is amazing. Umbria has great panoramic views in general and this place is all you can ask for if you are looking for a romatic location. I was there for dinner, so it was dark and you... More

A typical Umbrian restaurant, more like a lodge.... their specialty is torta (flat bread, like a pizza bottom) straight from the fireplace/oven, with lots of fresh sliced meat, salami, ham, etc. High up on the mountain (Monte Martano), not so easy to find. Located high in the Monti Massini, if you are not a local you will need to search out Giano dell'Umbria, go through the town and keep going. It's worth the search. You will be among locals in a very traditional mountain restaurant/rifugio. The location is stunning, with great views. Inside you are welcomed by a roaring fire where the meat... More

All served with flatbread baked on a stone in front of the roaring fireplace. then a choice of several pastas. Don't miss the pasta with black truffles, perhaps the best version of this dish in the region. Secondi is. Mixed... More

I've been to this restaurant many times, and it always satisfies. This is real, rustic Umbrian cuisine - hearty, local, fresh. Get whatever they want to bring you. Sit by the fire. The pizza al testa, the pasta with black truffles, the rosst meat and the local rosso di Montefalco are all outstanding. It's a challenge to find but a... More
