Decided to stop here for a quick bite while on a trip. Restaurant was quite dark and cool inside so we sat near the window and kept our coats on. The decorations were old style and quite nice. My wife ordered a BLT and fries and a pop and I ordered the fish and chips and water. When the food... More

Stopped in the Old Village Cafe this past weekend after 9 holes at the local golf course. It was a bit early for the pub to open (pub food), so right next door is this cafe. There was about 10 tables in this small cafe, but it was very nice, and apparently a favorable eating spot for the locals. My... More

I was really hungry and craving a burger so I went to try the food at the only restaurant open on a Sunday afternoon. I ordered the deluxe burger with bacon and cheese. It took forever to come and when it did it was missing the bacon. I sent it back to the kitchen and when the waitress returned with... More

stopped in here about 7 pm , tired and hungry after a day of geocaching. no one else in the place made us kind of nervous . There was only one waitress , she seemed more tired than us. Very slow to bring us menus and coffee and refills. The food was good and very generous portions.. I had an... More

The food here is pretty basic. We only ate the breakfast there when we visited. We each had the fruit bowl and some toast and the fruit was fresh and the toast was good, but you can't go wrong with toast. We had been there two years ago as well, and what struck me was the increase in prices. I... More

The use the same kitchen so the food is the same exactly. It is quiet in there and brighter than the pub. Pub is great on "chicken wings" night when there are actually a few people there. Otherwise they deal with the few visitors from out of town.

We stopped in twice while staying at the Logan Lake campground. The first time we both had the Village Burger and it was excellent. Huge burger, lots of meat, with an egg to boot. I had a side of potato leek soup which was good but maybe a bit bland (needed more onion, maybe). My husband's fries seemed pretty good.... More

Not only is the food less then poor. But it seems to me like all they do is deep fry the crap out of everything, including their bacon and sausages, They need to be shut down for numerous health code violations. The service is poor and some of the people there leave a bad taste in my mouth, rude and... More

I will never give business to the Old Village Cafe again! The service is the worst of any restaurant I have ever gone to. We went in on a Sunday around 10:30 and there were about 5 other tables seated. We waiting 20 minutes only to be told the server would be with us in a few moments. tick tock........... More

I've ordered food from the old village cafe many times over the last year and their cook doesn't know how to properly cook a burger. The most recent burger I ordered from them had a piece of plastic bag in it and was also not cooked all the way thru. I normally wouldn't complain but this is the 6th time... More
