Worth waiting in the queue. It tasted very different from what you can get from Klang Valley. Eat within an hour to taste the best of it.

The Gong Pian are delicious! They have 2 choices - pork and onion. They are crispy, sweet and salty and both varieties are absolutely divine. You have to pick your timings as sometimes you need to wait in a long line for them to be...cooked. Once they are ready they sell out quickly - especially the pork ones. People buy large bags full. Weekends are public holidays are generally very busy. Definitely worth a try if you are in Sitiawan!More
Never tried this before, but went to try it, fresh from the tandoor oven it was lovely had fragrance of onion. They use lard to make it so best eaten hot there n than.
It is a crispy skinned biscuit with savoury onion fillings. It is baked on the spot and it smells nice when it is eaten hot. It was Monday evening when I went to buy these biscuits but there was a long queue. Rm1.10/pc hot from...oven.More
Long queue smell great but is salty type. do not like it. Not much filling too. The way they make is interesting view as rare to see home made biscuit
My sister, my mother and I went at 1230pm and we waited for a fresh batch of gong pia to be ready. We were happily waiting because we were like 3rd in queue. The ladies in front of me, 2 of them together, queued together...but bought separately and each of them bought about 30-50 pieces at least. They were chatting happily with the owner. The owner asked why bought so many? They replied to keep la! Then they laughed together. The next in queue a couple, bought around 20. Next came to my turn. I said 30. She said she cannot sell me so many because she has to keep some for the others behind me who JUST GET DOWN THEIR CAR LIKE LESS THAN 5 MINUTES BEFORE! I came and queue 1 hour and I cannot buy as many as I like because I have to care for others who came late. What kinda business strategy is this? She even said dont buy so many. Not nice after a while. HELLO it is my business whether I want to buy many or not. I wanted 20 for a friend who asked me to assist to buy, 5 as souvenir to a teacher and only 5 for myself. She also said since I came with family, all of us can only buy 20 together. HELLO! What about the 2 ladies together? Though I came with my family, I have MY OWN FAMILY and MY MOTHER HAS HER OWN FAMILY. She buys for neighbours, relatives and etc. How can she generalize this way? if they cant produce so many, PUT A SIGN TO RESTRICT EVERYONE! WHY ONLY RESTRICT ME! DONT EAT SO MUCH OF THE GONG PIA COS YOU MIGHT BE GONG AFTER EATING! THATS HOW I FELT! SUPER PISSED OFF!More
Queued for slightly less than an hour and managed to buy 10 pieces, Really unique pastry filled with onions and very crunchy and excellent to be eaten when freshly baked inside a charcoal oven. Also good to be eaten with the Kampung Koh chilli sauce....And it's NOT expensive! It gets super tough and hard after a day though. :P Highly recommended to at least try for the experience. The kopitiam next door has excellent tai chow meals.More
There are a few options if you talking about gong pian in Sitiawan. The Cheong Cia one’s is the least chewy, hard but very crispy compared relatively to others. They sell two type of Gong Pian. One is the onion only filling, the second one...is with pork filling. Both are superb and immediately try them when they are still fresh and hot. It is suitable to be taken away too. You will notice people buying more than 30 of them. Keep them in the refrigerator and when you want to eat them, just oven them for a short while. Do take note they are closed on Sunday!More
The pictures tell all. The taste is not bad, we took fresh from oven and ate some for supper, still delicious.
We were pretty lucky when we found a parking spot right in front of this stall. There were only about 4 other people lining up for the kon piah. The kon piah has a sweet fragrance and it must be eaten while it is hot....It has simple filing of onion thus making the kon piah sweet and crunchy. When it is lukewarm, the kon piah is oily and a bit chewy.More
I have heard of the famous Sitiawan Gong Pian. So there I was outside the stall which was beside a coffee shop. Entering the shop, I noticed there was only one other customer beside myself. After a while the proprietor told me to come back...in 20 minutes time for a fresh batch and to have a cup of coffee next door. After 15 minutes I came back and noticed now there is que of 7 persons but waited as I have given the order of 40 biscuits. I was very surprised when I was told to join the que. miscommunication? Eventually after another 20 minutes my turn came n bought what I wanted.More
2 flavours - BBQ pork and onion. Both are very nice and can't get this anywhere in KL. Eat it while its still warm and fresh.
This is a great foo chew pastry, a must try for anyone who visit sitiawan. It cost RM1. 05 per piece, but I can assure that 1 piece is never enough. It is a dough with onion fillings and baked in a traditional method. You...can see how they bake from the counter you buy the pastries.More
