We've enjoyed La Farigoule in beautiful Le Castellet for years and were surprised to find new owners and a new Italian menu. Authentic, from the sound of the loud Italian shouted from the kitchen. Our pasta dishes were nothing exceptional, however overpriced. When we ordered red wine by the glass (this is a fabulous wine region) we were told by... More

Special location in medieval courtyard, with a varied menu. Had the fish of the day - beautifully cooked with roasted vegetables - and my partner the most amazing truffle ravioli. We hiked here from St Cyr so it was a most welcome lunch!

Le Castellet is a beautiful village, and eating outside on the Place chez La Farigoule is a wonderful experience. We enjoyed a full meal, with the grilled fish Dorade as the centrepiece. This is where to while away a fine evening with family or good friends, and enjoy Provençale food in its context. The wine recommendation was expensive, but otherwise... More

Recommended by a friend, we really enjoyed our lunch on a hot Sunday afternoon at La Farigoule. The food was wonderful, the children well taken are of and the atmosphere welcoming and relaxing. Set out on the little verandah with candy stripped table cloths and vines overhead - it was the perfect spot!

Tucked away in a pretty courtyard in the heart of the medieval town we picked this restaurant because there were lots of French people there. We had the menu du jour at 23 e - great value for 2 courses - but the carte on blackboards looked really good too and was clearly popular. The food was well presented and... More

The setting is very nice on a little square in the picturesque medieval village. We had marinated peppers and fried vegetables with aioli as starters, a plate of grilled beef for two and a children menu. All excellent food, the meat was fantastic. Everything very nicely presented. The service friendly. Can be recommended warmly.

My wife & I went to La Farigoule with a good friend for an evening meal. The food & wine were excellent and very reasonably priced. The service was excellent and quick. All in all a most pleasant experience in a very intimate atmosphere - particularly with the wood-fired range adding a distinct ambience. Definitely an experience worth repeating.

First of all a trip to the Medival village of Le Castelle is well worth it. Too that off with the unexpected surprise of Le Farigoule restaurant and you've got a winning combination. The food was Classic Provençal - I had tender scallops with risotto and my husband has the grilled rabbit with veggies. Being a well travelled foodie, his... More

La farigoule was recommend by our hotel concierge. We were really glad he did. This was one of our best meals on a memorable south of France trip. Great care seems to go in all the dishes. The grilled meats are a must try. Try to leave room for desert
