Wonderful decor and friendly service. Complimentary plantain chips with dips. Coconut lemonade was really refreshing at $4. Big glasses too. Delicious meal of mixed seafood in coconut milk served with rice and fried plantain. $13.50.

Anklas is an exceptional restaurant next to a very small, but lovely hotel. The seafood is world class. Octopus in Coconut sauce is an extraordinary taste delight. Chef Maria puts great taste into all her dishes. The hamburger was the best I've had in Panama, as was the chicken salad, fish in garlic sauce and fried calamari. The ceviche was... More

When I imagined how am I going to spend the day in Portobelo it would like to find a little place like this! On the beach, hippie and shabby ,friendly faces... Well... is the perfect combination, clean but adequate decorated with dusty antiques ,accessible and no aggression, feeling like in other spots in these neighborhoods; La Cazuela De Mariscos exceeded... We had the chance to enjoy a delicious lunch just by the sea. My shrimps In garlic sauce with yucca were yummy as well as the squid of my husband. The waitress was very nice. I highly recommend this restaurant.

OK, maybe a bit tacky, but the nautical stuff is real, not made in China. Good service, mix of tourists and Panamanians, adequately good food. Staff very friendly.

We ate here after a long day of diving, snorkeling, and horseback riding. The service was definitely slow but this was not surprising given the location. There were several us so I had the chance to sample a few dishes. Unfortunately, they were all lukewarm and pretty forgettable. However, I will give them credit for nice plate presentations.

We were starving when we went for lunch at Las Anclas, after a couple of dives at the nearby Scubapanama diving club. But we had to recognise we were in Panama so the rhythm was … slower… So we had to wait for what seemed to us to be an eternity. Finally the food arrived. My shrimps were great (although... More

We have eaten here a few times because it was convienient to were we were going. Slow service takes on a new meaning here. We had an hour and it took 55 minutes to get our lunch. Last trip we had breakfast and although we were the only two people in the restaurant, they forgot to put in my food... More

This place is right next door to Rey's Golden Frog Scuba. We ate there twice. Service was a little slow but it's Panama. The food was excellent. Try the garlic chicken.
