Been here a couple of times recently as have been to the nearby slap n dash. For a 'cafe' there's not all that much on the menu for lunch. Not everyone wants a hot lunch or a £9 salad. So much so I only had a drink. Friends have eaten and have said it's nice but I don't think will... More

Thank you for your review of our café. I am surprised and sorry you think there is not much on the menu, did you look at the lunch menu rather than just the Specials Board? We do a large range of food, freshly prepared and over a choice of open sandwiches for those who are looking for a light bite... More

If you're looking for a decent breakfast with a view to match, the Waterside Cafe is the location of choice particularly when the sun shines. Overlooking the adjacent fishing lake, the waterside cafe offers some beautiful views with wildlife aplenty including ducks and swans. The breakfast menu is akin to a 'greasy spoon' but the quality shines through using locally... More

Me and my family organised a tea party for my Nan here. We went today and although the weather wasn't great the settings were beautiful. Even saw some baby cygnets. The staff were very friendly and helpful, they made it feel really nice and relaxed. We all got our own platter filled with salad, few crisps to nibble, a scone... More

We are delighted that your Nan's 91st tea party was a great success! Amazing achievement to reach that age and thank you for choosing our café to host your celebration! Thank you for your kind words. We have two cygnets as you saw, newly hatched and adorable and many goslings and ducklings on the lakes at the moment which we... More

We had a nice time today. Food was good. However I think it was expensive . 33 pound for lunch! Would have been 5 stars otherwise.

Thank you for your positive review of our café. I am sorry if you found the food expensive, not sure how many of you were fed for £33? The majority of our main meals are priced at below £10, which for home cooked food I know from eating out myself is really very reasonable, and our portions are generous. The... More

Over the past 4/5 years I have driven past this Fish farm on numerous occasions when on my way on business in either Hastings or Bexhill and have never stopped. On our way down to a 70th Birthday 'do' in Bexhill my wife and I decided to stop for a cuppa as we had a little bit of time to... More

Have eaten numerous times here but not been for a while. Things have really changed! Staff were unfriendly and not interested in the customers, which is a shame as always found staff very friendly, but I never recognised any of them so obviously a large number of staff have left. We ordered a full breakfast and a mini breakfast which... More

Having passed this venue many times on the way to the coast I decided to make a special journey to have a afternoon tea.
