It seems that a group has taken over the Bell Inn but they don't seem to read TripAdvisor as if they did they would see that there is obviously problems at this pub! My wife and I had a Sunday lunch there a couple of...More

Popped in for a lunchtime drink today. Staff completely disinterested behind the bar and took ages for anyone to even acknowledge that we were at the bar waiting for a drink. Two young bar maids, one ignored us totally but then bothered to nod at...More

We used to come to The Bell Inn quite often, but after this time it will be our last. The glass I got my wine had some lipstick on, gravy on our roast was "like a dirty water" as it was described by my friends...More

The awful, stale smell of this place is reminiscent of a student flat the morning after a heavy duty party. Sticky tables with dirty glasses are laid for dinner. The front of house staff are casual to say the least - barely a glance as...More

Popped out for impromptu supper. Pub is local so was obvious choice. Also accepts tastecard which is bonus! Food was ok (fish and chips and a burger), service was slow (with customers waiting to be served at bar whilst 3 staff focused for a while...More

We used to go to the bell a lot and they had lots of awards. The food was still good but they forgot half our order and it wasn't even that busy. They need a good manager who is organised.
