We stopped for lunch here with our guide, Shirley Roulston of Cayman Routes, for a local waterfront lunch. Many local choices from conch, grouper, chicken with plaintaines, breadfruit and rice. Home cooking in a nice shady spot overlooking the Caribbean. Try the tamerind drink!

This local gem is just a great find. Sit in the backyard in the evening and enjoy a home cook meal. Fresh fish caught that day gives the REAL island flavor

We stopped here for dinner because we wanted to eat local. The food is cooked in the kitchen of the house -- not a typical restaurant. While we were there two groups of people stopped by and left without eating. I guess you could be put off by the surroundings. The meals we had -- jerk chicken and baked chicken... More

It is located on the east end of the island and has truly great authentic Caymanian food. You can easily drive past it if you aren't looking. You order your food at the top of the steps leading up to the house. The ladies will take your order and you pay right there bringing your food and beverage out to... More

This was the best food we had all week at the best price. You literally order in her garage and sit out on picnic tables in her backyard overlooking the ocean. It is a local favorite so get there early! The food was piled high on the plate and the diversity of everything was exceptional (potato salad, coleslaw, rice, beans,... More

Bring cash because they don't take credit cards. The stew beef is excellent as was the jerk chicken. They have two sizes small and large $7 or $9 CI. $1 for a can of soda not bad at all. We sat outside on their balcony overlooking the ocean. We went on Wednesday and were told they closed at 8pm.

Since so many others have given Vivine's great reviews, maybe we ordered the wrong thing--the fish fry: two small, thin fillets in batter with a bit of sort-of sweet red sauce, wonderful pickled veggies, boring bread fruit and purple potato, tasteless rice and beans. Parking is a problem; cash only; no alcoholic beverages; nice view and inexpensive!

I enjoyed this meal. But remember to bring cash a Miss Vivine takes no credit cards....or as she put it "no swipes". The food was good and plentiful
