We had the pork liver and it was amazing. Great wine choices. Friendly family atmosphere. The lamb was also excellent as was the pasta. Would highly recommend.

The service is good and the restaurant welcoming but our food was very disappointing. The ravioli came in only half cooked, the tagliatelle with wild boar ragu had a bad smell like nothing i had before and the ribollita was overcooked and not inviting. I hope this was only a bad night but the dinner was like nothing to remember!

We arrived on time since we had booked for lunch on Easter Sunday. There was a fixed menu at the cost of 40euro per person including water. Wine and coke were extra. The quality was ok but not excellent, and considering that we were in Tuscany, our expectations were a little higher. The staff were kind but the service was... More

We were taken here by friends and we had a great lunch. It isn't pompous, but gives excellent service and food with very good local wines. We were the only tourists there on our visit. There is a small, locally sourced menu with daily dishes available in addition. The staff know the dishes and give good advice. The restaurant is... More

Went for lunch while touring around southern Tuscany. Got a great recommendation from our hosts at the BnB we were staying at. It was worth the drive. Great rustic Italian mama cooking! Homemade pasta! Was delicious! I had the tomato and garlic pasta and my husband had the ravioli with meat sauce we liked both meals so much we ended... More

We went there after reference from our friends and we were satisfied with our choice because this restaurant is in beautiful town and offering good food and wine.

We made a trip to this restaurant based on an article I read listing Danny Meyer's favorites in Tuscany and were really happy we did. The restaurant is charming and feels like you are eating in someone's extended dining room rather than a restaurant. The wine was amazing and the pasta just as good. Plus the village Sant'Angelo is beautiful... More

While visiting Montalcino for a Brunello wine tour, we heard about Il Pozzo from a local resident. It's a short drive from Montalcino but definitely worth it. The pasta is terrific. Be sure to try the pici, a local hand-made pasta. Ours was simply prepared with bread crumbs, olive oil and garlic. It was simply awesome. We also loved a... More

We had a wonderful meal from start to finish. The antipasto featured local meats and cheeses that paired well with a Rosso from Le Ripi. The homemade pasta was the star, whether served with pecorino or truffles. We shared a huge steak which was cooked perfectly. The restaurant is at the top of the hill which made it a little... More
