Visited here on a Saturday evening as we were staying at the Lanes hotel. Service was excellent, both had burger with chips salad and onion rings. Also ordered the castle combo starter- large portions, we couldn't eat it all. Really well priced, and was by far the best burger we've eaten! Would highly recommend

So, what can I say, we went to the castle today, it was a "let's try it" moment... , the food was incredible. We really enjoyed our meal. The chef was very nice, told you the ingredients in his creations, which was nice, the bar staff....... Mmmm, service with a smile, no. Friendly enough, but not doing the business any... More

One wet sunday lunchtime on our drive from Devon into Somerset (and back again) we stopped and called into this lovely looking pub. Inside we were not disappointed. Friendly, efficient bar staff and the smell of traditional sunday lunch- the carvery that was set up in the function room ( complete with snooker table and skittle alley). Carvery not only... More

We had a great holiday at the Castle Inn. We were made to feel very welcome. The staff are attentive and helpful. Everything you would expect from a search on Booking.com we have trusted for many years. The breakfasts are superb and nothing was too much trouble. I was poorly and they made me hot lemon and honey! I would... More

Went for a carvery meal one Sunday. Firstly, I had phoned to ask for reservation & thel ladis telephone man er needs improvement. Anyhow, on arrival, there was 3 ladies serving behind the bar, whom obviously seemed quite disinterested working and a friendly wel come on arrival would not of gone amiss. Made me & my family a little uncomfortable, but... More

We booked a family party just after New Year for around 20 guests. The table was laid beautifully with banners and balloons. The food was great even though one of our group was very late the helpers could not have been kinder.

Nice pub with friendly staff. Corporate skittles evening which was an experience in itself for colleagues from non-skittling regions! Food was very nice - chilli and a curry. Recommended.

first of all i would like to say this pub is very welcoming. I had a lovely steak here last thursday, which was a bargain at 2 steaks and a bottle of wine for £25. The peas were lovely and hot and steak done just how I like it .I also came here for a carvery on the sunday, I... More

A nice and friendly welcome, the other half was advised well on the local beer which kept him sweet!! Great, hot fresh food, and not the usual tiny plate you normally get for a carvery!! We have always driven past, but never stopped. We did today. Fantastic meal, great service. Great effort to get things back on track after the fire. We had a wonderful lunch and will definitely be back for more. Thank you!
