We'd previously eaten here and enjoyed good food so thought we'd try the steak night at £9 a head. Wow. Succulent rump, so tender it was the best ever. Onion rings and choice of sauces at no extra cost. Good wines. A really fab night. Will definitely be back. Restaurant was full and a local resident said that it was... More

We booked a table for 11 as I had friends coming for my birthday weekend, booking was no trouble at all, we sat in the restaurant side of the pub which I noticed has been refurbished and looks good. As it was steak night we all decided to have the rump for £9, it was great, not tough at all,... More

I don't ever think about leaving a review but we found this little gem and couldn't resist! Amazing food at great prices (more up market than what we were expecting, which was a bonus) friendly staff who gave us a warm welcoming. Portion sizes are very generous, we could barely manage dessert after our venison and steak sizzler, both of... More

Cosy village pub with a creative and delicious menu which you would expect to find in a top restaurant! You can guarantee to visit and have a beautifully cooked meal (and the desserts are always the best!). The themed nights are great; curry night, fish & chips, pizza night, etc, are a good price and always so much choice on... More

Staying with a friend who lives down the road, took her out as a thank you. Fraser the young chef/waiter was really friendly and his food was wonderful. His brother Cameron who was in the bar was very welcoming too. A great family business

This place has changed hands. The existing chef Jamie is now at the helm. Steak and chips with side of veges and lamb shank don't sound adventurous but when all is cooked well, tasty and served well by Jennifer who can complain. And we were hungry. Good size portions. No room for sweets.

What can I say? We were staying at a nearby B&B, where we asked for somewhere to get dinner on the evening we arrived - The Sportsmans Arms was recommended. The bar was busy as they were showing the football, however they were very happy to seat us in the dining room where it was quieter and we were able... More

A party of 16 of us from Mount's Bay Girlguiding had a brilliant meal here last night. Nothing was too much trouble! The food was great and the Waitress - Lois - could not have been more helpful and attentive! THANKYOU everyone - we will be back!
