This restaurant was close to our hotel and the reviews were good – we decided to go. Lots of good parts to the meal but fortunately the food was only average and that’s the most important thing. The staff were friendly and gave us a table on the terrace at the back with beautiful views out onto the sea. The house wine was recommended and was very good. The service was generally good but we had to ask a couple of times for some Aioli to go with our mixed fish. This was needed as it was a massive portion of bland, not very tasty or well cooked seafood. We definitely wouldn’t order it again. It was such a pity as, other than this, we enjoyed our visit and it is a lovely restaurant without doubt.

The best fish tapas we've ever tasted

Many people had waxed lyrically about this place, and Saturday gave us our first opportunity to see if it lived up to its reputation. It exceeded it! Every dish bar one was 11/10. The cuttlefish in saffron sauce was to die for. Only the meatballs were just OK, but that was my fault for choosing a meat dish in a restaurant famous for fish! We had 5 courses in all and all the others were exceptional. But it didn't stop there - the deserts sent me into the stratosphere! Just Wow! That's all I can say.

I first cam here on the invitation of someone in March 2019. The food was excellent, a selection of fish tapas. The mussels were great in a tomato salsa. The cheesecake is perfect. Its a great place to look out to sea or sit out at the front. I have eaten at Trasmallo eight times in the last two years. The staff are friendly. My only criticism would be that I think the Gambas oil oil should be less expensive and have langoustines.

After being able to get the family together to go to this well known restaurant, we arrived and were seated at table 6 at 14:00 on the 1st of April 2023. Unfortunately for us, the service was very poor, the food cold and the stay quick. 1. We had an assigned waiter that had no interest in serving us well, not at all in fact. He raised his voice to a family member, acted angry/upset when ordering a salad further down the line and brought the starters and main courses all together (leaving us without space). One of his colleagues asked if we would like to keep the wine glasses displayed on the table and we decided to keep them, for the wine we were going to order (but didn’t). Our assigned waiter came some minutes later to take them away without asking, anyway. 2. One of the plates we ordered was lamb chops with mint sauce; the chips were luke warm and the lamb cold. This plate was warmed up right away, in what we believe was the microwave. Without mentioning there was an insect in the goat cheese salad (which you can expect with veg and fruit) but would’ve appreciated if it was washed accordingly. 3. It was in deed a pleasure to be served by who seemed to be the supervisor and other colleagues. But we would like to highlight through this review, the poor service on behalf of this specific waiter. We regret not asking for the complaint form when at the restaurant. It may not have been my family’s first time, but it was mine. And after this impression, I will no longer be attending this so called “well known restaurant”. Making it my last.

Absolute awful service and unfriendly staff. Do not go here if you have children!! We went here for dinner and we wish we didn't bother. We ordered fish for 2 people and it all came deep fried. I also found a deep fried hair!! The staff do not make you feel welcome at all. Told the restaurant was full, so they could Get rid of us asap. Parner ordered grilled fish and it came deep fried just like everything else. Spent €85 and nobody even bothered to say thank you or bye. Nice Outlook but that's it!

I just had dinner from this restaurant and the treatment of the owner of the place has been nefarious, aggressive and unfair, also wanting to take the prawns to the pil-pil, just because I have twice asked the waiter for bread, yes, if as you are reading, and as normal one of the dishes was prawns to the pil pil, here it usually gets wet in the oil, and surely the owner knows it, since of all the dishes that were on the table the only one wanted to take were the prawns.!! Regardless that all the food has been served in one fell swoop, all the dishes were almost cold, you can see that they have half fried and it is just warm, I imagine....!!! I will never set foot in this place again, and if the owner reads this review, they should take some relaxing, and have a little attitude and education towards the customers, you should know that thanks to us it is there....!!! Also, after that on the account they wanted to charge me a bottle of wine that we had not taken, obviously they have taken it from us.

August, Sunday, Lunch. Terrace overlooking the Sea. Up to the flag as usual on these dates. They brought us food before drinks, Bland Rosada, Bland Calamari, Cold Squid, Espeto Sardines (8 sardines €12.50) completely charred (not even a towel to clean ourselves...) everything was left on the plates. A shame, to provide this service it is better not to open, we will continue going but this is a warning to sailors.

Had lunch here today. Fabulous food and great service. The menu is read on your phone via a QR code and clearly shows gluten free options. I had solomillo de credo as a meal (racion) and my wife had skewers of prawn and monkfish and baked cod with ratatouille. All was gluten free, plentiful and wonderful. For first class food the prices are very reasonable. There was a mainly Spanish custom and the vibe was very pleasant. Excellent restaurant, highly recommended.

Yep straight 5, no none sense service with good recommendations. Most importantly the flavour of the food and how it was cooked was brilliant! I test seafood restaurants by their squid and it was exceptional here, fresh with bright clear eyes and then cooked perfectly. Well done

This place is a favorite with our family since 10 years or so. The restaurant comprises a terrace next to the street, a quick meal area, a formal restaurant with a nice greenhouse type area with fantastic sea views. Below is a club type eating place. They serve Spanish fish dishes as well as a nice paella. Staff is hospitable and friendly. Service is swift and efficient.

We fancied paella, in fact we switched from the downstairs to the upstairs lounge (where as a restaurant they serve paellas, I don't understand it but well.....) we asked if it was possible two paellas of two people, little rice and black rice, we wanted to try both, the waiter told us that it was one of his specialties, the question itself is that the paellas were not good, very past rice, very salty (both), almost inedible, also the contents of both were non-existent, only rice!! I say this because the waiter had the gesture to ask us how the food was, and we expressed our displeasure, but he did not know what to say, nor a mere apology or comment with which it could be justified. Yesterday, May 18, 2024, we celebrated the communion of my daughter Ainara. We have eaten there many times and that is why we chose this place to celebrate such an important day for us. I would like to congratulate the entire Trasmallo team, from the managers António and Armando who have made it very easy for us to organize, to the waiters for their professionalism and attention and to the cooks, the food was delicious. I have been a hospitality professional for 25 years and I have to say that for me it is one of the best restaurants in the entire area. Totally recommended for both tapas and eating inside in the restaurant with impressive views. Thank you very much again.😊

On the terrace facing the sea, TV entertainment is very attentive and fast. Very correct food. Grilled squid, pepper salad and various fried foods. Dessert cheesecake and banana cake. Fair price.
