Outstanding food and service

This restaurant was so great I had dinner there twice in a week! The fig, almond and cheese salad is fabulous, got a 1/2 portion for a starter. The grilled fish I had both nights (once sea bass, other waiter recommended??) absolutely delicious. Gave in to the temptation of the brownie and ice cream dessert, no regrets. Worth every calorie. I was a single traveler, and unlike elsewhere, I felt as well treated as other guests. Highly recommend this restaurant!

One of my best lunches.

We came to this place unexpectedly, a friend recommended it to us and if I'm honest this is one of the best restaurants I've ever been to, the service was excellent, the food was spectacular, we ordered a beer from a colleague and another waiter was behind us with the beer in the hand, it didn't even need to be said. The spectacular place and what I liked the most was the white chocolate crepes with walnuts and the shrimp pancakes. Without a doubt a very good success.

Attractive Restaurant with great views

The restaurant is really attractive and stylish with well spaced tables & a great terrace with fabulous sea views. The staff are lovely… they’ve been there for a long time with the owner, Nico. They are helpful and knowledgeable. We went with our daughter & had an excellent dinner. The portions are quite big, so we shared 2 tapas (crab & prawn salad) for starters. Delicious & not too heavy on the mayo! At 2.50€ a pop, you can’t go wrong. Mains I had Sole which was perfectly cooked & came with fried potatoes & griddled veg. Fabulous , but huge portion! My daughter had grilled swordfish, again a generous portion , beautifully cooked. Husband had chicken San Jacobo which he struggled to finish. We had a bottle of house Verdejo which was good. Closed on Monday , but the rest of the week open all day & they do a good breakfast too, although the coffee is coffee pods not a proper coffee machine . Lets the rest of it down a bit . I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it for breakfast, lunch or dinner

I didnt eat here - though I wanted to. I sat down outside as it was a nice day and asked a passing waitress for the menu and a drink - she brought them but never came back to take my order. I went inside and realised there was ANOTHER outside area - overlooking the beach and Mediterranean. So I headed for that and was ordered to get out as that was for diners . I started to explain but she turned her back and left. So I finished my drink at my original table and by then had gone off having a meal. I went in to pay and that took a while too. So not impressed but I suspect it is s staffing issue due to covid and it is tough for some places. But next time I will go the the tables with the good view and give the food a chance.

Beware - Discrimination Observed

There is a Curb Your Enthusiasm episode which describes our experience almost perfectly where customers can sit in sections at the discretion of the wait staff. When it happens to you it is not funny, however. We entered without reservations on the early side of dinner service. There is a sign asking clients to wait to be seated so we did. Not a smile to be seen on the faces of the staff, but a waiter did arrive and took us to the dining room. There are a few dining sections. The preferred section is on a balcony overlooking the water. Since we had arrived early only two tables in the entire place were occupied. We asked to sit on the balcony but we were told the tables were only for reservations. We asked for the best alternative table (eg. near the balcony) but we were placed in the back of the main dining room with many empty tables between us and the balcony. We accepted this of course, but we then proceeded to see multiple families arrive and overheard the conversations with the staff who happily placed them at tables on the balcony. We heard enough to know that these customers did not have reservations but they were offered tables in a preferred location. We didn't want to cause a scene and quickly ate and left. Was it the color of my wife's skin? Was it an issue with my origin country? We felt like we were being treated hostility and that ruined the entire experience. The food was mediocre. My veal was dry and none of our party had great things to say about the meal itself. I raise a friendly caution flag for you. There are many other eating options in the area.

Lovely Restaurant

We had a lovely experience here this evening. It was our first time as we would usually eat at the Port. We were very pleasantly surprised, a beautiful interior, lovely food with plenty of choice and a really pleasant and attentive waiter. We will definitely be back with our family.

Superb setting, food and service

We’ve been here a few times over the years and love it. The refurbished restaurant is a beautiful setting with breathtaking views from inside and outside over the sea. The food is excellent. Definitely recommend both the pilpil and the John Dory.

A good success

We heard today in this restaurant. Ion's attention has been very good. Jhony and Olga have been very attentive, super polite. And then Nicolás, who must be one of the great people responsible. The food was very good, a very good remusa salad, some red mullet and secondly, my husband had some spaghetti, which he thought was spectacular, and I had a very fresh San Pedro rooster. Both the wine and the glass are very good. They also have the 1906 Galicia star on tap, truly a success. The best of Torreguadiaro, of course to repeat. Thank you very much keep it up

Well worth a visit

This could easily becohme a favourite restaurant. There was an excellent choice of food, all well cooked and well served. The service was friendly and efficient. Prices tending slightly towards the Sotogrande level, but not too bad. Overall very good, and worth another visit.

Breakfast visit - absolutely fantastic - food fresh and service brilliant with views of the Beach - Rioseco sandwich was lovely, and all reasonably priced - will definitely come here again - lunch has always been fantastic in the past as well.

Terrible Service, unbelievable

Venue - lovely - gave us high hopes Service - the worst I've had, table was dirty, we waited to be approached for 15 minutes, the waiter came and asked us what we want (we had not been given a menu nor QR code for the online menu)... we had to physically ask for the menu, the guy was in his own world. Then once we got the menu, waited a further 5/10 minutes before we got fed up and went to the bar to order ourselves. To top it all off, the table was dirty from the previous customer. When we went to order our food at the bar, we requested for the table to be cleaned. The coffees we ordered came and the waiter placed it on the table that was filthy and wet. One of the coffees didn't have a spoon or sugar but the other one did???? So we ate our breakfast and drank our coffee from a dirty table, ordered our food at the bar, because waiting around in a less than half full establishment is ridiculous. Another point... one of the breakfasts came with what seemed to be finger prints of avocado in the bread AND on the table AND on the tissue under the bread - we did not order avocado. As we didn't want to wait for the bill, we went straight to the bar to pay and it seemed that the whole time the manager or owner was there behind the bar, living his best life... saw us there waiting to pay whilst his waiters were busy. The work ethic in that establishment is so poor I do not know how they don't have the worst reviews ever. The only positives were nice views and thankfully they knew how to make a coffee. Not worth a visit. Worst service of my life.

Food excellent - service disorganised

The food is exceptional, the ambiance brilliant, the price spot on but the service must improve it’s all over the place but if you can overlook this as we do - then you will have a great gastro experience - Gambas Pil Pil is delicious as is the Tuna with onion, green pepper and tomato - extremely fresh - fish dishes as always totally lovely.
