This is not a huge restaurant and it tries to mimic the casual village diner in Spain. The menu is adequate, food prepared in full view of diners. The restaurant has its firm favourites and on a weekend evening is likely to be full.

Save your money and stay home, as Spain is in Kalk Bay, Cape Town. La Parada nods to the great tapas tradition of small treats and easy company. Meet the locals and the set of Cape Town. Arrive in your Lambo.

We ate here twice during our three weeks on the Cape. On both occasions we mistakenly over-ordered and had to 'endure' the slog of trying and eating everything put before us. But it was worth it. the portions are excellent and the food is understandably varied and inventive. there is something about munching away at one dish while another two... More

First think Tripadvisor. You have the name wrong it's LA PARADA not Tapas . Great place to drop in after work for a glass of wine or a beer and a few Tapas . Quite a selection from calamari to spicy steak to ham croquettes patatas Bravas imported ham . Relaxed atmosphere and they also do mains we shared the... More

The place was beautiful and familiar with a nice view on the seaside. The staff was very kind and fast. And we loved the food and wine there! Mniammy! :)

Apparently place to be seen but food is poor value for money. Besides they hardly had vegetarian options

We planned to have drinks only on Sat at 6.30pm before dinner at Live Bait across the road. But we were peckish and ordered a few dishes. Amazingly quick service, food came out almost as quickly as it was ordered! I had the Poor Man's Potatoes for R24 which was a hearty portion of thinly sliced crispy-fried potatoes topped with... We love this place and the food is great but just feel that they are getting too big for their boots charging Cape Town prices for drinks in a place like Kalk Bay. Really spoiled our meal to pay almost 50% of the bill for drinks. Come on Tapas bar, do you really have to charge R39 for a glass... More

Our waitress was amazing and very funny. She recommended some great dishes. I loved the sardines and prawn croquettes. The place was busy but service was on the ball and food came out promptly.
