Overall, very average. Being Turkish, I didn't feel it was very authentic. The best part was the presentation! The tomato sauce, which is served alongside most dishes, has very much an Italian pasta sauce flavour. It's quite typical to have Turkish tea in Turkish restaurants,...but we were told that they didn't serve any. Also, the flatbread was quite boring and bland. Lastly, the waitress was also very 'cold' and appeared to be very unfriendly. It's a shame because the actual interior of the restaurant is lovely!More
the food was good but the waiter was extremely rude. I arrived late to see my friend who i texted to inform i was late. She was waiting at the table. The waiter then interrogates me asking why i was late and then ignores me...whenever he has to serve the table. He was extremely judgemental and ruined the experience. The other waiters were fine, it was just him. Never going backMore
Brilliant brunch had in a great atmosphere. Service was outstanding as the restaurant was very busy Had the Traditional Turkish breakfast which included fresh cream and honey cheeses olives scrambled eggs spicy sausage and a circular bread and more Would highly recommend this place
Love this restaurant. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. The food is amazing. I regularly visit Turkey and all that is missing from the experience is the sunshine.
On website the early bird menu is priced £14.95 but actually charged £18.95 . On querying this the waiter politely pointed to the menu stated it was £18,95 Very misleading. Good food and service but also disappointed as there is no longer pirzola on the...early bird menu . Cold meze now bigger portion but fewer different dishes .More
My wife and I called in here for the first time recently. A really friendly and welcoming experience, the two ladies were just excellent. We ordered Turkish coffee and chose cake from the display. The coffee was really good and the cake absolutely amazing. We...will be returning. Recommended.More
Very disappointing. I went with my friend for a rare night out as I have children. Although the service was fine, the food was awful. I ordered, the chicken sizzler and so did my friend. It didn't taste Turkish or Middle Eastern, but like a...bad Mexican. The strips of chicken and rock hard peppers tasted like they had been drenched in a jar of Mexican spice mix from Tesco. Neither of us finished it. The Shiraz wine was lovely though. Restaurants in Bramhall are generally over priced with mediocre food but this was over priced and disappointing.More
There is a saying…' lead by example' which would account for the appalling attitude of the waiters here as the general manager seems to think arrogance and preferential treatment to the in the crowd is ok. The food was yummy. The long wait for a...table and the stinking manner of the general manager was not. When questioned his response was 'I decide'. Disgusting. I also heard him speaking a different language with his staff in a very aggressive way. If arrogant and self-inflated egos could win awards then the waiting staff and especially the jumped-up general manager would be top of the list.More
Called past on Sunday and stopped for lunch. Someone brought the food out to us and told us to go away and that we weren't allowed to eat it there (I think it was because my partner had a Costa coffee on the table she'd...just finished). However, very rude first experience and will avoid in future. Food over priced for the quality. Egg was burnt the bottom was hard. Mushrooms uncooked and very watery. Bacon too salty. Sausages wasn't the best. The fact that you can't serve a decent breakfast with this prices. It is absurd. Even if I was offered free breakfast for a year I wouldn't go back.More
Embarrassing experience, I have been a regular in this Turkish cafe for a long time and never had a bad experience. I took my auntie and uncle for lunch, I went inside to have a chat in regards to our special request. My auntie is...severely sight impaired and has her guide dog with her all the time. I had a chat with the cafe owner and explained the situation and also asked her about the guide dog policy, She was happy to accept us and told me that there are only two tables we would be able to sit at and the waiting time would be over twenty minutes. We were happy with it and started to wait outside. After approximately twenty-five minutes the guy came outside and claimed to be the owner's husband and started asking my auntie questions about her disability. We were shocked and extremely disturbed by his attitude and body language. He pointed to our guide dog and told my auntie that this dog is not a guide dog asked for his certification and also questioned my auntie's disability in a very inappropriate way. We couldn't believe what was going on, My auntie was wearing her sunflower lanyard to make an awareness about her disability. She told him that you can't question my disability and also mentioned our guide dog is been registered by Assistance Dogs (UK) and has an ID book. I approached the guy and told him that he discriminated against my auntie and had been extremely rude and inappropriate to us. He then started swearing Turkish and completely switched his language and his aggression went beyond this point. He kept getting close to me and threaten to punch me. My wife had a pram with her and our six-month-old baby boy was terrified by this guy's awful behaviour. My wife managed to push him to prevent an assault attempt. We started to walk away from the situation and he was still screaming and swearing at us. My auntie broke down with tears and told me that she has never been in an uncomfortable situation like this. We felt disgusted by it and could not believe how a person like this facing customers and working in a hospitality environment. I will be escalating this further including reporting this directly to Disability Rights UK and Citizens Advice also will be in touch with the local paper.More
Incredibly Aggressive and Badly Behaved Individual I really don’t appreciate how you’re maligning me with this distortion of the truth. If you’re able to recall correctly, you, your wife, your uncle and his wife, along with your baby and its pram, had arrived just over...More
The restaurant is in a good location for overnight parking and close to other bars if you want to move on to continue your evening. The general atmosphere was pleasant and the restaurant was lovely, bright and clean. However the staff looked like they all...had a telling off before they started their shift. No one smiled, I felt quite uncomfortable. They certainly didn’t look happy in their job. I won’t go back in a rush. The food was okay, had better Turkish food. As couples, we would normally have ordered more wine but decided to move on to another location to finish our evening.More
It was great experience superb service, food as well as ambience we will be sure visit this place soon thankyou
We have been here many times but I never write a review. I thought I should this time as the food and service are always great. We went as a big group, yet they served us promptly and as always, everything tasted delicious. The portion...sizes are good and everything is always well presented. We never feel rushed and always extremely full at the end of the evening. It’s not cheap, with main dishes averaging around £20 but definitely somewhere to go for a treat.More
Ten of our ladies had lunch yesterday at Turquoise in Bramhall and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We have previously dined at their other branch and this one certainly lived up to it's name I started with the Turquoise Prawns, which were oven baked with mushrooms...in a tomato sauce and topped with Gruyere cheese (£8.50) and my friend and I shared a Mixed Chargrill Feast with skewered chicken, lamb chop, chicken breast, donner, minced lamb kofte served with rice and salad (£22.50 each) and as there was 35% off for January the bill came to £20.15 each, which was excellent value. I am sure that we will be back again at some time in the future as it was really enjoyable.More
