Went for breakfast for my sons birthday. Had to go here by default because it was the only venue open on a public holiday. We were the only customers there but that still didn't stop our four meals ( we all ordered the same meal for convenience) taking 30 minutes to to served! How hard can it be especially with... More

British ales if you feel homesick, NZ beers if you don't. The atmosphere is very friendly and pub-like but with sunshine and outside tables you can use without getting cold. Good menu and specials all great value and plenty to fill you up. Well worth a call in you may well stay awhile.

We were here nearly five years ago and this time came for lunch. Wife had Steak and Guinness Pie while I picked Penne Carbonara. The pie (baked in a bowl) contained tender steak meat rich gravy and flaky pastry top. It also came with fries and vegetables. The Penne Carbonara was soft and well flavoured. On the liquid side, I... More

Came here with a good mate last Wednesday before heading to USA for a brief holiday. It was quiet with only a handful of patrons. Been here many times before, great staff, relaxed atmosphere and very reasonably priced drinks ($7 per glass of Koonunga Hill). I hope to return many times in the future.

This normally my Sunday go to (recovery) meal. The combination of lingering English pub atmosphere, the food was classic and delicious. I loved looking over the water at the bay. The location and combination of the above, make for a seriously great above the rest pub. Not to mention all the tap beers! They have a vast range of monteiiths,... More

We came here on a weekend lunch-time not expecting anything special as we had been underwhelmed on previous visits, albeit a fair while ago. However, we found the service very pleasant, the pricing reasonable and the food was delivered promptly, well presented and tasted good!

I have never been motivated to write reviews whether good or bad, but the food at the Speakers Corner is hands down truly the WORST I can ever remember eating! This is after travelling for 4 months through some pretty sketchy places in the Americas & living within a tight budget. I had the surf & turf which was AWFUL... More

I have been here sevearl times over the last 12 years as it is the 'local' of a good friend who lives in Browns Bay. Tonight I just went for a beer, the pub itself is okay, the recently renovated interior - judge for yourself...
