Came here for lunch on the weekend. It was busy but our server was quick and we didn't wait long for the food. Roti bread was delicious ($6.95 for 2 pcs). Bbq chicken and rice were really good too ($16.95) Huge portion. More than enough for one person. I was disappointed with the pad thai ($15.95)...it just tasted like tomato/ketchup... More

We decided to go for something different from the usual places we go to in Richmond for a special occasion. Tropika offers exotic and delicious dishes from South East Asia (Malaysian, Thai and Singaporean) We ordered Chicken satays served with peanut sauce, grilled Pomfret with sun dried shrimp, Kuala Lumpur pork chop, coconut fried rice and other dishes. Save some... More

Nice place to go if you want to change it up on cuisine style. Richmond/Vancouver are loaded with Chinese cuisine so it was nice to try something different. Even though they claimed to be a Malaysian restaurant, there is definitely a very heavy Thai and Singapore flare to it. With that being said, the food was excellent.

Great flavors, fast service. Ahead of Friday evening rush meant fast, hot food and quick service. Mango salad, indonesian pork ribs, curry duck, Chef's special of seafood stirfry with green beans, okra and eggplant, and nasi goreng fried rice. Lots for 5 people, different flavors and fresh fruit and vegetables. Ribs were not quite fall off bone, with hint of... More

Those of you familiar with this type of cuisine don't need any advice from me. But, if you are new to this type of restaurant, I hope you have the good fortune to have along someone who has eaten there before. While it is true that rice is rice, fish is fish, etc., the sauces and portion size have a... More

The service is always good here. I don't really think of this place as Malay or Thai but rather Chinese food with Malay/Thai flavour. It is good for a quick stop for a meal but in no way is it authentic Malay/Thai tasting. It's kind of like getting butter chicken at White Spot. Ain't nothing wrong with that but it... More

Went there with a family group of 4. Really nice place. Very clean and excellent service. All dishes were very good. The pineapple rice in the pineapple was my favorite as were the prawn cakes. Dishes came out hot and very fast. Servers right on top of things. Would definitely go back.
