We have had lunch many times and love the food but the noise is unbearable so we have started doing takeout. Not only are the various food choices great but their health cornflake squares are to die for.

Passing through Cranbrook last Saturday, we had seen an advertisement for this cafe but It wasn't easy to find. It's a popular big, noisy restaurant with an interesting menu - several Asian fusion dishes, that appealed to us. However, the service was slow & the food could best be described as average/good, rather than very good. If you are passing... More

Can't get better than excellent coffees and a good little restaurant! Access and parking a bit tricky off Victoria Ave.

Yes, it's noisy but Hot Shots is also a locally owned small business with its own flare. There's a healthy mix of salads, Southeast Asian entrees, baked goods, and fancy coffees. I go for brunch or lunch, expecting to pay between $10 and $20.

The french toast with mixed fruit hit the spot. My Jalapeno breakfast bagel was original and filled me up. The place has a god atmosphere, and even though it was busy, we still had good service.

Busy and can be noisy when busy but the staff are very friendly and the lunches and coffees delicious.

The food is great.. If you're coming here for coffee though, expect to wait far too long. Atmosphere isn't the greatest either: Busy and uncomfortable. The chefs and bakers are extremely friendly, but the frontline staff never seem to be interested in being there.

I really want to like this place because it seems like it should be great, but each time I've eaten here has been disappointing. On the plus side: everyone is really friendly, it's nice and bright, and I do love the wooden spoons that they give you when you order to identify you when bringing you your food. That's definitely... More

I am on a restricted diet and they were very accommodating with my requests so I very much appreciated that. I had the beef brisket which was the 'special of the day'. The food was good - I requested it be served without a bun. Not outstanding but good. Served with a slice of tomato / onion with swiss cheese... More

Went for lunch , food was great but if you want to talk with the people you are with ... you have to yell . It's very loud like a cafeteria. Staff are fun and hard working :)
